Journal of Statistical
Research is a publication that aims to improve the quality of statistical
researches, to develop the statistical methodology and application, to discuss
the researches which take place in the literature, to assess the researches on
statistical applications, to strengthen the communication between the
researchers in theoretical and applied fields by associated studies and
publications.
Researches having the following
qualities in the field of statistics, are taken into consideration in the scope
of the Journal:
1.
Researches
dealing with the production of new information on statistical matters such as
Statistics Theory, Probability Theory and Stochastic Processes, Sampling and
Survey, Applied Statistics, Statistical Quality Control, Biostatistics, Risk
Actuary Analysis and Insurance, Econometrics, Operational Research, Demography,
Computer Applications and Information Systems.
2. Researches
dealing with the development of methodologies on data collection, evaluation
and presentation in the fields of Social Sciences, Applied Sciences, Medical
Sciences, etc.,
3. Researches
dealing with the development of Official Statistics of Turkey the world.
4. Researches,
dealing with the interpretation and analyses of the statistical data published
with new scientific developments.
1.
Researches are to
be original, creative, fit in methodology and science and contribute to the
existing application and theory. Publication language is Turkish.
2.
The Journal is
open to researches covering all the subjects in the field of statistics.
3.
Researches
approved by a three referee’s mission are published. Unpublished articles are
not given back to the author.
4.
Articles are sent
to the Secretariat of Journal in the forms of print out (4 copies) and magnetic
(3,5’’ diskette). Researches that are accepted to be published are re-sent to
the author(s) for correction. It is expected that at this stage the article is
to be given the final form and not to be changed any more.
5.
According to the
Law No. 5846, SIS holds the copyrights of this publication. The Journal is not
duplicated or distributed without authorisation.
6.
Researches, which
are not in conformity with the form of text preparation, copyrights and
previously published or accepted to be published are given back to the author
by General Editor.
7.
All of the
correspondence is to be done with the Secretariat. Requests regarding to the
subscription, preceding issues, offprint, advertisements and payments are
submitted to the address of Request and Subscription.
