THE RESULTS  OF THE MONTHLY INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION INDEX
 

    The Monthly Industrial Production Index with 1997 base year forming production information of 403 the most important items according to  the ISIC Rev.3  increased 3.9 % in November of 2003 over to the same month of
the previous year.

    At the level of sub-sectors of industry, manufacturing industry production increased by 4.6 %, mining industry production  decreased  by 11.5 %,  electricity, gas and water production increased by 3.5 %,   in November of  2003,  over to the same period of the previous year.

    According to the average of eleven months of 2003 compared with the same period of the previous year, total industrial  production  increased by 7.9 %,  and   mining  industry  decreased   by 5.9 %,  manufacturing  industry  increased  by  8.5 %, and  electricity, gas  and  water  industry  increased  by  8.2 %.
                 
                 

            
                 
NOTE  :  MONTHLY  INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION INDEX  HAS  BEEN  CALCULATED  TO  GIVE  INFORMATION IN A SHORT TIME. 403 ITEMS FROM 918 ESTABLISHMENTS WHICH REPRESENT  64 % OF  TOTAL  INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION  VALUE HAVE BEEN USED TO CALCULATE  MONTHLY INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION INDEX.  APPROXIMATELY 2005 ITEMS  FROM 3000 LARGE SCALE ESTABLISHMENTS WHICH REPRESENT   79 %  OF  TOTAL  INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION VALUE   HAVE BEEN USED TO CALCULATE QUARTERLY INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION INDEX. THERE ARE SOME DIFFERENCES BETWEEN TWO INDEXES BECAUSE OF THE  COVERAGE. MONTHLY INDEX SHOULD BE  USED AS A SHORT TERM INDICATOR. FINAL RESULT  MUST BE TAKEN FROM QUARTERLY INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION INDEX.
** Monthly  Industrial Production Index is released on the eight of the second month following the reference month.
