MONEY, BANKING AND INSURANCE

GOLD : Total gold reserves in the Central Bank (Gold conforming to international standards and gold not conforming to international standards.)

FOREIGN EXCHANGE DEBTORS : Shows non - convertible foreign exchange in foreign correspondents and the total effective stocks.

SUBSIDIARY COIN : Coins in the vaults of the Central Bank.

PORTFOLIO OF SECURITIES : Government bills purchased in accordance with the Code 1211, Article 52 and money deposited in the government bills account as collateral with the reserve funds of the Central Bank in accordance with the Banking Law, (the code number 3182) , Article 33.

DOMESTIC CREDITS : Central Bank credit extended to the government and the banks.

OPEN MARKET OPERATIONS : Total of repurchase agreements and matched sale-purchase agreements with the banks, foreign exchange market operations, and Central Bank operations in the interbank market.

FOREIGN CREDITS EXTENDED BY THE CENTRAL BANK : Bills purchased by the Central Bank in accordance with banking agreements signed by the Central Banks of Pakistan, Algeria, Sudan, Iran, Iraq and the Central Bank from the Turkey. Bills from the Bank of Foreign Economic Affairs of the USSR purchased by the Central Bank for the payment of wheat export to the USSR. Bills guaranteed by a foreign bank and discounted by the Central Bank for the payment of goods or services exported.

CLAIMS OF THE TREASURY: Gold and Turkish Lira liabilities to the treasury.

DEPOSITS: Deposits of the public sector, banks, international institutions, funds, and others, held in the Central Bank in Turkish liras and foreign exchange.

M1 : Money outside the banks plus sight deposits.
M2 : M1 plus time deposits.
M3 : M2 plus government deposits in the banks and other deposits in the Central Bank.
