"Assessment Committee on the
Results of Data Availability" responsible from the production
of all modules in the Ediflow List is carrying out its studies
to increase the proportion of data availability....
Following
the decision taken at the last "Policy Group on Statistical
Cooperation (PGSC)" meeting in Ljubjana, Slovenia concerning
the collection of information on data availability in the
Candidate Countries a questionnaire was sent to all Candidate
countries. The main purpose of the study on data availability
was to identify for each country (i) the data available, (ii)
the data not produced for the time being, (iii) data transmitted
to Eurostat and (iv) the data not transmitted to Eurostat.
Following
the implementation of the data availability exercise which
was run from November 2002 to March 2003 and followed successively
by the submission of country tables by Eurostat, State Institute
of Statistics (SIS) arranged continuous meetings at the Presidency
level to assess the situation and take necessary decisions
in order to initiate studies aiming to increase the proportion
of Data Availability.
Consequently,
an "Assessment Committee on the Results of Data Availability"
responsible from the production of all modules in the Ediflow
List was set up in SIS. A new table was designed to classify
all data production with a reference to Ediflow list and circulated
among all related departments.
Recently,
the committeee is working very hard to categorize each module
according to the problems that occur on the bases of production
level in order to initiate immediately the production process
and increase data availability.
