SULPHURDIOXIDE (SO2) AND PARTICULATE
MATTER (SMOKE)
CONCENTRATIONS IN NOVEMBER OF 2002
The Presidency of State Institute of Statistics, in the extent of the environmental statistics, declared the statistics on air pollution related to the sulphurdioxide (SO2) and particulate matter (smoke) concentrations of provincial and district centers in Turkey in November of 2002.
According to the statement of the State Institute of Statistics, provincial and district centers having the maximum sulphurdioxide concentrations in November of 2002 are as follows in descending order; Kütahya, Yozgat, Isparta, Erzurum and Denizli. For the same period, provincial and district centers having the maximum particulate matter concentrations in descending order stated as Kayseri, Denizli, Balıkesir, Sivas and Konya.
Provincial and district centers having the maximum sulphur dioxide (SO2)
and particulate matter (smoke) concentrations in November of 2002 were given

SULPHURDIOXIDE (SO2)
PARTICULATE MATTER (SMOKE)
(..): It couldn't be evaluated since the comparable data for
that period have not reached to the Institute.
Since the sulphur dioxide and particulate matter concentrations could not be measured in İstanbul in November of 2002, no evaluation could be done.
