Provincial and district centers having the maximum sulphur dioxide (SO2) and particulate matter (smoke) concentrations in winter season of 2003-2004 have been given in the table below.
(..): It couldn’t be evaluated since the comparable data for that period have not reached to the Institute.
For the same period, according to the particulate matter concentrations, Short Term Limit Value (STL) was not exceeded in any measurement stations in Ankara and İzmir provincial centers and İzmir (Bergama) and İzmir (Ödemiş) district centers.
Since the sulphur dioxide and particulate matter concentrations could not be measured in İstanbul in winter season of 2003-2004, no evaluation could be done.
