According to official statement made by State Institute of Statistics, Gross National Product figures for the fourth quarter of  2001 is “ 55 327 991 Billion Turkish Liras in current prices”  and it is “25 840 Billion Turkish Liras in real terms”. The real growth rate is –12.3%, while current growth rate 53.1%.

    Annual Gross National Product of 2001 is  “179 480 078 Billion Turkish Liras in current prices and 107 911 Billion Turkish Liras in 1987 constant prices”. Current growth rate is 42.9%, whereas it is -9.4% in 1987 constant prices.
