EXPLAINED THE RESULT OF THE MONTHLY TENDENCY SURVEY WHICH REFLECT VIEW OF THE ESTABLISHMENTS IN MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY ABOUT PRODUCTION, SALES,  STOCKS  AND PRICES  FOR  THE  RELATION  IN  FEBRUARY OF  2000 AND EXPECTATION  IN  MARCH  OF  2000
(Production  -  Sales  -  Prices)
 

         ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY UTILIZATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, DECREASED FROM  71.2 % IN FEBRUARY OF 1999 TO 70.0 % IN FEBRUARY OF 2000, FROM THE PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL RESULT OF 532 LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.

           Comparison of the reasons for not working in full capacity to the same month of the previous year is summarized below;



          A general evaluation has done in the written explanation on the view of establishments for the present situation  in  February  of  2000, expectation in March  of  2000 about production, domestic sales, sale and raw material prices.
 

At the evaluation;

        When the weighted average view of the establishments for February  of  2000 compare to the same month of the previous year, establishments have thought that their production , domestic sales decreased, sale prices and  raw material prices increased.

         When  the   weighted  average expectation of the same establishments for March  of  2000 compare to the same month of the previous year,  establishments have thought that their production,  domestic sales and sale prices will decrease and raw material  prices will same.

Percentage distributions of establishments on production are;

While answer of  increasing was  47.0  % and decreasing was 37.9 % in February of 1999, in February of 2000  answer  of  increasing  is  38.4  %  and  decreasing  is  46.6  %
 
While  answer  of  increasing expectation was  58.5  % and decreasing expectation was 11.2 % in March of 1999, in March of  2000 answer of  increasing expectation  is  45.9 % and decreasing expectation is  21.6 %

Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic sales;

While answer of  increasing was 50.3 % and decreasing was 33.8 % in February of  1999,  in February of 2000 answer  of  increasing  is  57.9  %  and  decreasing  is  26.2 %

While  answer of increasing  expectation  was 59.6 % and decreasing expectation was  5.8 % in March of  1999, in  March  of  2000  answer  of  increasing  expectation is  31.1  % and decreasing expectation is  33.2  %

Percentage distributions of establishments on sale prices;

While answer of  increasing was 56.1 % and decreasing was  4.6  %  in February of 1999, in February of 2000, answer  of  increasing is  65.5  %  and  decreasing  is  1.6  %

While answer  of  increasing  expectation  was  49.9  %, decreasing  expectation  was  1.5 %  in March of  1999, in  March  of  2000  answer  of  increasing  expectation  is  46.3  % and decreasing expectation  is  0.7  %

Percentage distributions of establishments on raw material prices;

While answer of increasing was 65.9 % and decreasing was  6.1 %  in February  of 1999, in February of  2000, answer  of  increasing  is  74.4  %  and  decreasing  is  0.2  %

While answer of increasing expectation was  55.5 % and decreasing expectation was 2.0 % in March of 1999, in  March  of  2000 answer  of  increasing  expectation  is  53.5  % and  decreasing  expectation  is 1.7 %
