EXPLAINED THE RESULT OF THE MONTHLY TENDENCY SURVEY WHICH REFLECT VIEW OF THE ESTABLISHMENTS IN MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY ABOUT PRODUCTION, SALES,  STOCKS  AND PRICES  FOR  THE  RELATION  IN  OCTOBER OF  1999 AND EXPECTATION  IN  NOVEMBER  OF  1999

                 ACCORDING    TO    THE   STATEMENT  OF  THE  PRESIDENT  OF  SIS,  RATE  OF   CAPACITY UTILIZATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, DECREASED FROM  80.0 % IN OCTOBER OF 1998 TO 71.0 % IN OCTOBER OF 1999, FROM THE PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL RESULT OF 627 LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.

           Comparison  of  the  reasons  for  not  working  in  full capacity to the same month of the previous year is summarized below;

 

         A general  evaluation  has  done in the written explanation on the view of establishments for the  present  situation  in  October of  1999, expectation in November of 1999 about production, domestic sales, sale and raw material prices.
 

At the evaluation;

       When the weighted average view of the establishments for October  of 1999 compare to the same  month  of  the  previous  year, establishments have thought that their production , domestic sales, sale prices  and raw material prices increased.

         When  the  weighted  average  expectation  of  the  same establishments for November of  1999 compare  to  the  same  month of  the previous year  establishments have thought that their production   and   domestic   sales,   sale   prices   will   decreased,  and raw material prices will increased.

Percentage distributions of establishments on production are;
    While answer of  increasing was  39.9  % and decreasing was 41.8 % in October of 1998, in October of 1999  answer  of  increasing  is  58.3  %  and  decreasing  is  24.0  %
 
    While  answer of  increasing expectation was 37.7  % and decreasing expectation was 31.3 % in November of 1998,  in November of  1999 answer of  increasing expectation  is  36.9 %  and decreasing expectation is  27.0 %

Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic sales;
    While answer of  increasing  was  30.7 % and  decreasing was  52.5 % in  October  of  1998, in October of  1999  answer  of  increasing  is  44.2  %  and  decreasing  is  38.5 %

    While   answer  of   increasing   expectation   was   38.5  %  and decreasing expectation was   27.7  %  in  November of  1998, in   November   of  1999 answer of  increasing  expectation is  36.9  % and decreasing expectation is  19.1  %

Percentage distributions of establishments on sale prices;

    While answer of  increasing  was 53.1 %  and decreasing  was  3.2 %  in  October  of   1998, in October  of  1999, answer  of  increasing  is  62.6  %  and  decreasing  is  0.5  %

    While  answer of  increasing  expectation  was  49.4  %, decreasing  expectation  was  1.8 %  in  November of  1998, in  November  of  1999  answer  of  increasing  expectation  is  50.2  % and decreasing expectation  is  2.3  %

Percentage distributions of establishments on raw material prices;

    While answer of  increasing was  58.5 %  and  decreasing  was  3.4 %  in  October  of  1998, in  October  of  1999, answer  of  increasing  is  73.3  %  and  decreasing  is  0.8  %

    While  answer   of   increasing   expectation    was  50.4  %  and decreasing expectation was    0.8  %  in  November  of  1998, in  November  of  1999 answer  of  increasing  expectation  is  59.9  %  and  there is not decreasing  expectation.
