EXPLAINED THE RESULT OF THE MONTHLY TENDENCY SURVEY WHICH REFLECT VIEW OF THE ESTABLISHMENTS IN MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY ABOUT PRODUCTION, SALES, STOCKS AND PRICES FOR THE RELATION IN  APRIL OF 1999 AND EXPECTATION  IN  MAY OF 1999

    ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY UTILIZATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, INCREASED FROM  77.4 % IN APRIL OF 1998 TO 77.7 % IN  APRIL  OF    1999,   FROM  THE   PRIMARILY    PROVISIONAL  RESULT   OF   607    LARGE  SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.

    Comparison of the reasons for not working in full capacity to the same month of the previous year is summarized below;

A general evaluation has done in the written explanation on the view of establishments for the present situation in April of 1999, expectation and in May of 1999 about production, sales, prices and stocks.
 

At the evaluation;
When the weighted average view of the establishments for  April of 1999 compare to the same month of the previous year, establishments have thought that their production, domestic sales, sale prices  and raw material prices increased .
When the weighted average expectation of the same establishments for  May of 1999 compare to the same month of the previous year  establishments have thought that their production and domestic sales will decreased, sale prices and  raw material  prices will increased.
Percentage distributions of establishments on production are;

While  answer  of  increasing  was   30.3  %  and  decreasing   was   50.2   %  in  April of  1998, in April  of 1999 answer of increasing  is  46.3  % and decreasing  is  34.1  %
 
While answer of increasing expectation was 66.8 % and decreasing expectation was 7.6 % in May of 1998, in May  of 1999 answer of increasing expectation is 55.1 % and decreasing expectation is 17.5 %

Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic sales;

While  answer  of  increasing  was  26.6  %  and  decreasing   was   55.0   %  in April  of  1998, in April  of 1999 answer of increasing is 42.3  %  and decreasing is 39.9 %

While answer of increasing expectation was  56.3  % and decreasing expectation was 14.5 % in May of 1998, in May  of 1999 answer of increasing expectation is 48.0 % and decreasing expectation is 20.6 %

Percentage distributions of establishments on sale prices;

While  answer   of   increasing   was  35.3    %  and   decreasing  was  3.4  %  in April  of  1998, in April  of 1999, answer of increasing is  70.2  % and decreasing is  0.3  %

While  answer  of  increasing expectation was  39.0  %,  decreasing  expectation was 0.6 % in May  of 1998, in May  of 1999 answer of increasing expectation is 69.5 % and decreasing expectation is 0.2 %

Percentage distributions of establishments on raw material prices;

While  answer  of  increasing   was  63.3   %  and  decreasing  was  2.3  %  in April of   1998, in April    of 1999, answer of increasing  is  76.2  % and decreasing is  0.4  %

While answer of increasing expectation was 57.0  %  and decreasing expectation was 0.1 % in May of  1998, in May  of 1999 answer of increasing expectation is 68.4 % and decreasing expectation  is 0.2 %
