EXPLAINED THE RESULT OF THE MONTHLY TENDENCY SURVEY WHICH REFLECT VIEW OF THE ESTABLISHMENTS IN MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY ABOUT PRODUCTION, SALES, STOCKS AND PRICES FOR THE RELATION IN  MARCH OF 1999 AND EXPECTATION  IN  APRIL OF 1999

ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY UTILIZATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, DECREASED FROM  80.5 % IN MARCH OF 1998 TO 75.7 % IN MARCH OF 1999, FROM THE PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL RESULT OF 596 LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.

Comparison of the reasons for not working in full capacity to the same month of the previous year is summarized below;
 
 

 
    A general evaluation has done in the written explanation on the view of establishments for the present  situation  in  March of 1999, expectation and in April of 1999 about production, sales, prices and stocks.

At the evaluation;
When the weighted average view of the establishments for  March of 1999 compare to the same month of the previous year, establishments have thought that their production decreased, domestic sales, sale prices  and raw material prices increased .

When the weighted average expectation of the same establishments for  April of 1999 compare to the same month of the previous year  establishments have thought that their production, domestic sales and sale prices will increase and  raw material  prices will be same.

Percentage distributions of establishments on production are;

While  answer  of  increasing  was   62.7  %  and  decreasing   was   20.9   %  in  March of  1998, in March  of 1999 answer of increasing  is  50.4  % and decreasing  is  31.9  %
 
While answer of increasing expectation was 39.7 % and decreasing expectation was 26.8 % in April of 1998, in April  of 1999 answer of increasing expectation is 47.2 % and decreasing expectation is 21.9 %

Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic sales;

While  answer  of  increasing  was  60.3  %  and  decreasing   was   23.4   %  in March  of  1998, in March  of 1999 answer of increasing is 60.8  %  and decreasing is 23.1 %

While answer of increasing expectation was  42.4  % and decreasing expectation was 24.3 % in April of 1998, in April  of 1999 answer of increasing expectation is 58.7 % and decreasing expectation is 9.4 %

Percentage distributions of establishments on sale prices;

While  answer   of   increasing   was  39.1    %  and   decreasing  was  3.2  %  in March  of  1998, in March  of 1999, answer of increasing is  68.0  % and decreasing is  1.3  %

While  answer  of  increasing expectation was  35.0  %,  decreasing  expectation was 0.9 % in April  of 1998, in April  of 1999 answer of increasing expectation is 65.9 % and decreasing expectation is 0.4 %

Percentage distributions of establishments on raw material prices;

While  answer  of  increasing   was  65.5   %  and  decreasing  was  3.9  %  in March of   1998, in March    of 1999, answer of increasing  is  65.3  % and decreasing is  1.7  %

While answer of increasing expectation was 55.9  %  and decreasing expectation was 2.9 % in April of  1998, in April  of 1999 answer of increasing expectation is 61.0 % and decreasing expectation  is 1.4 %
