OF 2000 AND EXPECTATION IN MAY OF 2000

ACCORDING
TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF
SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY UTILIZATION
THAT IS WEIGHTED
BY PRODUCTION VALUE, DECREASED FROM
77.9 % IN APRIL OF 1999 TO 75.9 % IN APRIL OF 2000, FROM
THE PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL RESULT OF 599 LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL
ESTABLISHMENTS.
Comparison
of the reasons for not working in full capacity to the same month of the
previous year is summarized below;
A general evaluation has done in the written explanation on the view
of establishments for the present situation in April of 2000, expectation
in May of 2000 about production, domestic sales, sale and raw
material prices.
At the evaluation;
When the weighted average view
of the establishments for April of 2000 compare to the same
month of the previous year, establishments have thought
that their production, domestic sales , sale prices and raw material
prices decreased.
When the weighted
average expectation of the same establishments
for May of 2000 compare to the
same month of the previous year establishments have thought that
their production and domestic sales will increase, sale prices and raw
material prices will decrease.
Percentage distributions of establishments on production are;
While answer of increasing was 46.7 % and decreasing was 33.7 % in April of 1999, in April of 2000 answer of increasing is 58.0 % and decreasing is 17.7 %
While answer of increasing expectation was 56.6 % and decreasing expectation was 16.7 % in May of 1999, in May of 2000 answer of increasing expectation is 53.9 % and decreasing expectation is 6.1 %
Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic sales;
While answer of increasing was 44.3 % and decreasing was 39.1 % in April of 1999, in April of 2000 answer of increasing is 46.5 % and decreasing is 31.4 %
While answer of increasing expectation was 49.0 % and decreasing expectation was 20.1 % in May of 1999, in May of 2000 answer of increasing expectation is 43.7 % and decreasing expectation is 16.1 %
Percentage distributions of establishments on sale prices;
While answer of increasing was 66.9 % and decreasing was 0.9 % in April of 1999, in April of 2000, answer of increasing is 41.0 % and decreasing is 26.3 %
While answer of increasing expectation was 65.4 %, decreasing expectation was 1.6 % in May of 1999, in May of 2000 answer of increasing expectation is 36.2 % and decreasing expectation is 0.6 %
Percentage distributions of establishments on raw material prices;
While answer of increasing was 75.2 % and decreasing was 0.4 % in April of 1999, in April of 2000, answer of increasing is 56.5 % and decreasing is 3.8 %.
While answer of increasing expectation was 66.9 %, decreasing expectation was 0.6 % in May of 1999, in May of 2000 answer of increasing expectation is 53.1 % and decreasing expectation is 3.0 %
