ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY UTILIZATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, DECREASED FROM 74.0 % IN MARCH OF 2000 TO 72.2 % IN MARCH OF 2001, FROM THE PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL RESULT OF 671 LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.
Comparison
of the reasons for not working
in full capacity to the same month of the previous year is
summarized below;
A general evaluation
has done in the written explanation on the view of establishments for the
present situation in March of 2001, expectation in April
of 2001 about production, domestic sales, sale and raw material
prices.
At the evaluation;
When the weighted
average view of the establishments for March
of 2001 compare to the same
month of the previous year, establishments have
thought that their production, domestic sales
decreased and sale prices and raw material
prices increased.
When the weighted average expectation of the same establishments for April of 2001 compare to the same month of the previous year establishments have thought that their production, domestic sales will decrease, sale prices and raw material prices will increased.
Percentage distributions of establishments on production are;
While answer of increasing was 48.0 % and decreasing
was 34.3 % in March of 2000, in March of 2001 answer of
increasing is 42.5 % and decreasing
is 44.1 %
While answer of increasing expectation was 44.5 % and decreasing expectation
was 22.2 % in April of 2000, in April of 2001 answer of increasing expectation
is 28.2 % and decreasing expectation is 33.8 %
Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic sales;
While answer of increasing was 61.7 % and decreasing was 18.6
% in March of 2000, in March of 2001 answer of increasing
is 44.2 % and decreasing is 42.3 %
While answer of increasing expectation was 35.9 % and decreasing expectation was 29.5 % in April of 2000, in April of 2001 answer of increasing expectation is 38.7 % and decreasing expectation is 23.3 %

While answer of increasing was 61.5 % and decreasing was
2.1 % in March of 2000, in March of 2001, answer of
increasing is 73.2 % and decreasing is 2.2
%
While answer of increasing expectation was 41.1 %, decreasing expectation was 1.1 % in April of 2000, in April of 2001 answer of increasing expectation is 67.5 % and decreasing expectation is 1.6 %

While answer of increasing was 70.1 % and decreasing was
0.2 % in March of 2000, in March of 2001, answer
of increasing is 73.4 % and decreasing
is 8.4 %.
While answer of increasing expectation was 57.8 %, decreasing expectation was 2.9 % in April of 2000, in April of 2001 answer of increasing expectation is 68.3 % and decreasing expectation is 7.0 %
