ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY UTILIZATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, DECREASED FROM 77.2 % IN APRIL OF 2000 TO 68.0 % IN APRIL OF 2001, FROM THE PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL RESULT OF 701 LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.
Comparison
of the reasons for not working in
full capacity to the same month of
the previous year is summarized below;
A general evaluation has
done in the written explanation on the view of establishments for the present
situation in April of 2001, expectation in May of
2001 about production, domestic sales, sale and raw material prices.
At the evaluation;
When the weighted
average view of the establishments for April of 2001
compare to the same month of the previous year, establishments have
thought that their production, domestic sales
decreased and sale prices and raw material prices
increased.
When the weighted average expectation of the same establishments for May of 2001 compare to the same month of the previous year establishments have thought that their production, domestic sales will decrease, sale prices and raw material prices will increased.

expectation was 55.0 % and decreasing expectation was 6.6 %
