EXPLAINED THE RESULT OF THE MONTHLY TENDENCY SURVEY WHICH REFLECT VIEW OF THE ESTABLISHMENTS IN MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY ABOUT PRODUCTION, SALES,  STOCKS  AND PRICES  FOR  THE  RELATION  IN  APRIL OF  2001 AND EXPECTATION  IN  MAY OF  2001
(Production  -  Sales  -  Prices)



          ACCORDING   TO   THE   STATEMENT   OF   THE   PRESIDENT   OF   SIS,  RATE   OF   CAPACITY   UTILIZATION  THAT  IS  WEIGHTED  BY  PRODUCTION VALUE, DECREASED FROM  77.2 % IN APRIL OF 2000 TO 68.0 % IN APRIL OF 2001, FROM  THE  PRIMARILY  PROVISIONAL RESULT OF 701 LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.

           Comparison of  the  reasons  for  not  working  in  full  capacity  to  the  same  month  of  the previous year is summarized below;


        A general evaluation has done in the written explanation on the view of establishments for the present situation in April of  2001, expectation in  May of  2001 about production, domestic sales, sale and raw material prices.
 
 

At the evaluation;
       When  the  weighted  average view of  the establishments for April  of  2001 compare to the same month of  the previous year, establishments have  thought  that  their production, domestic  sales  decreased  and sale prices  and  raw  material prices increased.

        When the weighted average expectation of the same establishments for May of  2001 compare to the same month of  the previous  year  establishments have thought  that  their  production, domestic  sales  will  decrease,  sale  prices  and  raw material  prices  will increased.

        Percentage distributions of establishments on production are;

        While  answer of  increasing was  57.9  %  and  decreasing  was 19.1 %  in  April of  2000, in April of  2001 answer  of
        increasing  is  33.7  %  and  decreasing  is  48.9  %

        While answer of  increasing  expectation was  55.0 %  and decreasing expectation was 6.6 % in May of 2000, in May of
        2001 answer of increasing expectation is 48.8 % and decreasing expectation is 11.3 %

        Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic sales;

        While answer  of  increasing was 49.2 %  and  decreasing  was 28.7 %  in  April  of  2000,  in  April of 2001 answer  of
        increasing  is  35.3  %  and  decreasing  is  43.2  %

        While answer of increasing expectation was 46.1 % and decreasing expectation was 15.4 % in May of 2000, in May of
        2001 answer of increasing expectation is 34.7 % and decreasing expectation is  9.3 %

        Percentage distributions of establishments on sale prices;

        While  answer of  increasing  was 40.4 %  and decreasing  was  23.7  %  in April of  2000, in April of 2001, answer  of
        increasing is  72.9  %  and  decreasing  is  6.5  %

        While answer of increasing expectation was  36.2  %, decreasing  expectation was 0.5 % in May of  2000, in May  of
        2001 answer of increasing expectation is 58.2 % and decreasing expectation is 3.1 %

        Percentage distributions of establishments on raw material prices;

        While  answer of increasing  was  55.6 % and  decreasing  was  4.7 %  in  April of  2000,  in  April of  2001, answer  of
        increasing  is  74.6  %  and  decreasing  is  0.7  %.

        While  answer of  increasing  expectation  was  50.4  %, decreasing  expectation was 3.7 % in May of  2000, in May of
        2001 answer of increasing expectation is  52.8 % and decreasing expectation  is 2.9 %
