IN JULY OF 2001 AND EXPECTATION IN AUGUST OF
2001

ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY UTILIZATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, DECREASED FROM 76.4 % IN JULY OF 2000 TO 72.5 % IN JULY OF 2001, FROM THE PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL RESULT OF 691 LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.
Comparison of the reasons for not working in full capacity to the same month of the previous year is summarized below;

At the evaluation;
When the weighted average view of the establishments for July of 2001 compare to the same month of the previous year, establishments have thought that their production, domestic sales, sale prices and raw material prices increased.

While answer of increasing expectation was 36.0 % and decreasing expectation was 13.0 % in August of 2000, in August of 2001 answer of increasing expectation is 50.3 % and decreasing expectation is 17.1 %

While answer of increasing was 25.5 % and decreasing was 50.4 % in July of 2000, in July of 2001 answer of increasing is 45.8 % and decreasing is 33.3 %
While answer of increasing expectation was 36.4 % and decreasing expectation was 18.5 % in August of 2000, in August of 2001 answer of increasing expectation is 47.8 % and decreasing expectation is 14.5 %
Percentage distributions of establishments on sale prices;
While answer of increasing was 53.3 % and decreasing was 7.6 % in July of 2000, in July of 2001, answer of increasing is 50.9 % and decreasing is 12.7 %
While answer of increasing expectation was 41.0 %, decreasing expectation was 0.7 % in August of 2000, in August of 2001 answer of increasing expectation is 53.6 % and decreasing expectation is 5.1 %

While answer of increasing was 57.0 % and decreasing was 7.5 % in July of 2000, in July of 2001, answer of increasing is 57.8 % and decreasing is 10.7 %.
