ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY UTILIZATION THAT
IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, INCREASED FROM 84.0 % IN NOVEMBER OF 1997 TO 80.0 %
IN NOVEMBER OF 1998, FROM THE PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL RESULT OF 627 LARGE SCALE
MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.
Comparison of the reasons for not working in full capacity to the same month of the previous year is summarized below;

While answer of increasing was 40.4 % and decreasing was 41.8 % in November of 1997, in November of 1998 answer of
increasing is 27.9 % and decreasing is 51.9 %
While answer of increasing expectation was 41.8 % and decreasing expectation was 20.5 % in December of 1997, in December
of 1998, answer of increasing expectation is 40.4 % and decreasing expectation is 23.0 %
Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic sales;
While answer of increasing was 31.1 % and decreasing was 50.5 % in November of 1997, in November of 1998 answer of
increasing is 26.2 % and decreasing is 53.4 %
While answer of increasing expectation was 41.1 % and decreasing expectation was 29.0 % in December of 1997, in December
of 1998, answer of increasing expectation is 33.2 % and decreasing expectation is 33.5 %
