PRICES FOR THE RELATION IN MAY OF 2000
AND EXPECTATION IN JUNE OF 2000

ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY UTILIZATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, DECREASED FROM 78.1 % IN MAY OF 1999 TO 76.4 % IN JUNE OF 2000, FROM THE PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL RESULT OF 576 LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.
Comparison of the reasons for not working in full capacity to the same
month of the previous year is summarized below;
A general evaluation has done in the written explanation on the view of
establishments for the present situation in May of 2000, expectation
in June of 2000 about production, domestic sales, sale
and raw material prices.
At the evaluation;
When the weighted
average view of the establishments for May of 2000 compare
to the same month of the previous year, establishments have thought that
their production, sale prices and raw material prices decreased,
domestic sales increase.
When
the weighted average expectation of the same establishments for June
of 2000 compare to the same month of the previous year establishments
have thought that their production and domestic sales will increase, sale
prices and raw material prices will decrease.
Percentage distributions of establishments on production
are;
While answer of increasing was 57.8
% and decreasing was 25.9 % in May of 1999, in May of 2000 answer
of increasing is 54.0 % and decreasing
is 27.2 %
While answer of increasing expectation was 46.4
% and decreasing expectation was 19.2 % in June of 1999, in June of
2000 answer of increasing expectation is 51.7 % and decreasing
expectation is 11.2 %
Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic sales;
While answer of increasing was 50.0 % and decreasing was 30.6 % in May of 1999, in May of 2000 answer of increasing is 53.0 % and decreasing is 27.6 %
While answer of increasing expectation was 41.9 % and decreasing expectation was 19.5 % in June of 1999, in June of 2000 answer of increasing expectation is 53.8 % and decreasing expectation is 10.0 %
Percentage distributions of establishments on sale prices;
While answer of increasing was 66.8 % and decreasing was 1.5 % in May of 1999, in May of 2000, answer of increasing is 64.4 % and decreasing is 1.2 %
While answer of increasing expectation was 52.1 %, decreasing expectation was 1.0 % in June of 1999, in June of 2000 answer of increasing expectation is 48.0 % and decreasing expectation is 2.8 %
Percentage distributions of establishments on raw material prices;
While answer of increasing was 73.8 % and decreasing was 2.7 % in May of 1999, in May of 2000, answer of increasing is 73.6 % and decreasing is 1.3 %.
While answer of increasing expectation was 58.2 %, decreasing expectation was 1.0 % in June of 1999, in June of 2000 answer of increasing expectation is 61.5 % and decreasing expectation is 0.8 %
