SALES, STOCKS AND PRICES FOR THE RELATION IN
JULY OF 1999 AND EXPECTATION IN AUGUST OF 1999

ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY UTILIZATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, DECREASED FROM 81.1 % IN JULY OF 1998 TO 75.9 % IN JULY OF 1999, FROM THE PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL RESULT OF 573 LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.
Comparison of the reasons for not working in full capacity to the same month of the previous year is summarized below;
A general evaluation has done in the written explanation on the view of
establishments for the present situation in July of 1999, expectation
and in August of 1999 about production, domestic sales, sale and
raw material prices.
At the evaluation;
When the weighted
average view of the establishments for July of 1999 compare to the same
month of the previous year, establishments have thought that their production
and domestic sales decreased, sale prices and raw material prices
increased.
When
the weighted average expectation of the same establishments for August
of 1999 compare to the same month of the previous year establishments
have thought that their production, domestic sales, sale prices and
raw material prices will increased.
Percentage distributions of establishments on production
are;
While answer of increasing was 44.1 % and decreasing was
35.1 % in July of 1998, in July of 1999 answer of increasing
is 29.2 % and decreasing is 53.8 %
While answer of increasing expectation was 45.3 % and
decreasing expectation was 22.7 % in August of 1998, in August
of 1999 answer of increasing expectation is 48.3 % and decreasing
expectation is 13.1 %
Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic sales;
While answer of increasing was 44.6 % and decreasing was 33.6 % in July of 1998, in July of 1999 answer of increasing is 29.9 % and decreasing is 50.1 %
While answer of increasing expectation was 43.7 % and decreasing expectation was 22.2 % in August of 1998, in August of 1999 answer of increasing expectation is 48.7 % and decreasing expectation is 14.6 %
Percentage distributions of establishments on sale prices;
While answer of increasing was 62.3 % and decreasing was 1.6 % in July of 1998, in July of 1999, answer of increasing is 71.0 % and decreasing is 2.1 %
While answer of increasing expectation was 41.6 %, decreasing expectation was 2.1 % in August of 1998, in August of 1999 answer of increasing expectation is 47.5 % and decreasing expectation is 1.3 %
Percentage distributions of establishments on raw material prices;
While answer of increasing was 57.8 % and decreasing was 2.5 % in July of 1998, in July of 1999, answer of increasing is 73.3 % and decreasing is 2.7 %
While answer of increasing expectation was 55.8 % and decreasing expectation was 1.3 % in August of 1998, in August of 1999 answer of increasing expectation is 58.0 % and decreasing expectation is 0.9 %.
