ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY UTILIZATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, INCREASED FROM 77.3 % IN FEBRUARY OF 1997 TO 77.7 % IN FEBRUARY OF 1998, FROM THE PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL RESULT OF 530 LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.
Comparison of the reasons for not working in full capacity to the same month of the previous year is summarized below;


A general evaluation has done in the written explanation on the view of establishments for the present situation in February of 1998, expectation and in March of 1998 about production, sales, prices and stocks.

While answer of increasing was 31.7 % and decreasing was 49.9 % in February of 1997,
in February of 1998 answer of increasing is 37.5 % and decreasing is 43.8 %
While answer of increasing expectation was 76.5 % and decreasing expectation was 2.2 % in
March of 1997, in March of 1998, answer of increasing expectation is 57.6 % and decreasing
expectation is 14.1 %
Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic sales;
While answer of increasing was 45.0 % and decreasing was 40.2 % in February of 1997,
in February of 1998 answer of increasing is 57.0 % and decreasing is 26.5 %
While answer of increasing expectation was 63.5 % and decreasing expectation was 6.6 %
in March of 1997, in March of 1998, answer of increasing expectation is 60.1 % and decreasing
expectation is 10.8 %
