EXPLAINED THE RESULT OF THE MONTHLY TENDENCY SURVEY WHICH REFLECT VIEW OF THE ESTABLISHMENTS IN MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY ABOUT PRODUCTION, SALES,  STOCKS  AND PRICES  FOR  THE  REALISATION  IN  DECEMBER OF  2001 AND EXPECTATION  IN  JANUARY OF  2002

         ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY   UTILISATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, DECREASED FROM  74.5 % IN DECEMBER OF 2000 TO 73.6 % IN DECEMBER OF 2001, FROM THE PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL RESULT OF 780  LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.

       Comparison of the reasons for not working in full capacity to the same month of the previous year is summarized below;

            
     

A general evaluation has done in the written explanation on the view of establishments for the present
situation  in  December  of   2001, expectation in January of  2002 about production, domestic sales,
sale and raw material prices.

At the evaluation;
When the weighted average view of the establishments for December of  2001 compare to the same
month of  the  previous year, establishments  have  thought that their production decreased, domestic
sales increased, sale prices decreased and raw material prices increased.

When the weighted average expectation of the  same establishments  for January of 2002 compare to
the same  month of the previous year  establishments have thought that their production and  domestic
sales  will increased, sale prices and raw material  prices  will increased.

Percentage distributions of establishments on production are;
While answer of  increasing was  26.5  % and decreasing was 57.5 % in December of 2000,
in  December of 2001  answer  of  increasing  is  23.6  %  and  decreasing  is  59.1  %.
 
While answer of increasing expectation was 37.7 % and decreasing expectation was 27.5 % in January
of 2001,    in January of 2002 answer of increasing expectation is 33.0 % and decreasing expectation is
36.8 %.

Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic sales;

While answer of  increasing was 27.9 % and decreasing was 57.4 % in December of 2000,
in December of 2001 answer  of  increasing  is  22.7  %  and  decreasing  is  58.8  %

While answer of increasing expectation was 44.0 % and decreasing expectation was ,25.1% in January
of 2001,  in January of  2002 answer of increasing expectation is 42.8 % and decreasing expectation is
26.7 %

Percentage distributions of establishments on sale prices;

While answer of  increasing was 50.5 % and decreasing was  9.9  %  in December of 2000,
in December of 2001, answer  of  increasing is  51.6  %  and  decreasing  is  7.8  %

While  answer of  increasing expectation was 45.2  %,  decreasing  expectation was 8.4 % in January
of 2001, in January of  2002 answer of increasing expectation is  44.6  %  and decreasing expectation
is 3.8 %

Percentage distributions of establishments on raw material prices;

While answer of increasing  was  45.1 % and decreasing was 20.3 %  in December of 2000,
in December of  2001, answer  of  increasing  is  42.2  %  and  decreasing  is  23.0  %.

While answer of increasing  expectation  was  53.9 %,  decreasing  expectation  was 1.4  % in January
of 2001,  in January of  2002 answer of increasing expectation is  51.1  %  and decreasing expectation
is 1.7 %
