ABOUT PRODUCTION, SALES, STOCKS AND PRICES FOR THE REALISATION
IN NOVEMBER AND EXPECTATION IN DECEMBER OF 1997
(Production - Sales - Prices)


ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY UTILIZATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, INCREASED FROM 76.9 % IN NOVEMBER OF 1996 TO 84.3 % IN NOVEMBER OF 1997, FROM THE PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL RESULT OF 546 LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.


Comparison of the reasons for not working in full capacity to the same month of the previous year is summarized below;




A general evaluation has done in the written explanation on the view of establishments for the present situation in November expectation and in December of 1997 about production, sales, prices and stocks.


At the evaluation;


When the weighted average view of the establishments for November of 1997 compare to the same
month of the previous year, establishments have thought that their production and raw material prices
increase, domestic sales and rate of sale prices decrease.


When the weighted average expectation of the same establishments for December of 1997 compare to the same month of the previous year establishments have thought that their production, domestic sale, sale prices and raw material will increase.


Percentage distributions of establishments on production are;


While answer of increasing was 27.1 % and decreasing was 54.2 % in November of 1996,
in November of 1997, answer of increasing is 42.6 % and decreasing is 42.2 %


While answer of increasing expectation was 33.2 % and decreasing expectation was 31.5 % in
December of 1996, in December of 1997, answer of increasing expectation is 42.7 % and decreasing
expectation is 21.5 %


Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic sales;


While answer of increasing was 33.7 % and decreasing was 50.2 % in November of 1996,
in November of 1997, answer of increasing is 30.5 % and decreasing is 52.4 %


While answer of increasing expectation was 31.3 % and decreasing expectation was 35.6 % in
December of 1996, in December of 1997, answer of increasing expectation is 43.1 % and decreasing
expectation is 29.7 %


Percentage distributions of establishments on sale prices;


While answer of increasing was 75.2 % and decreasing was 0.6 % in November of 1996, in November of 1997, answer of increasing is 74.4 % and decreasing is 0.7 %


While answer of increasing expectation was 34.2 % and decreasing expectation was 1.3 % in December of
1996,in December of 1997, answer of increasing expectation is 75.1 , will not decreasing expectation.


Percentage distributions of establishments on raw material prices;


While answer of increasing was 68.2 % and decreasing was 1.5 % in November of 1996,
in November of 1997, answer of increasing is 78.4 % and decreasing is 1.2 %


While answer of increasing expectation was 56.5 % and decreasing expectation was 0.3 % in
December of 1996, in December of 1997 answer of increasing expectation is 62.3 % and decreasing expectation
is % 0.2
