SALES, STOCKS AND PRICES FOR THE REALISATION
IN MARCH OF 2002 AND EXPECTATION IN APRIL OF
2002

ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY UTILISATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, INCREASED FROM 70.7 % IN MARCH OF 2001 TO 75.2 % IN MARCH OF 2002, FROM THE PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL RESULT OF 806 LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.
Comparison of the reasons for not working in full capacity to the same month of the previous year is summarized below;

At the evaluation;
When the weighted average
view of the establishments for March
of 2002 compare to the same month of the previous year,
establishments have thought that
their production and domestic sales increased, sale prices
and raw material prices decreased.
When the weighted average expectation of the same establishments for April of 2002 compare to the same month of the previous year establishments have thought that their production and domestic sales will increased, sale prices and raw material prices will decreased.
Percentage distributions of establishments on production
are;
While answer of increasing was 43.1 % and decreasing
was 43.5 % in March of 2001,
in March of 2002 answer of increasing
is 72.1 % and decreasing is 8.8
%.
While
answer of increasing expectation was 31.7 % and
decreasing expectation was 30.2 % in April of 2001,
in April of 2002 answer of increasing expectation is 41.3 % and decreasing
expectation is 24.9 %.
Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic
sales;
While answer of increasing was 43.7 % and decreasing was 42.3 % in
March of 2001,
in March of 2002 answer of increasing is 67.7 %
and decreasing is 14.0 %
While
answer of increasing expectation was 39.0 % and decreasing expectation
was, 22.8 % in April of 2001,
in April of 2002 answer of increasing expectation is 25.3 % and decreasing
expectation is 39.5 %

prices;
While answer of increasing was 68.9 % and decreasing was 3.7
% in March of 2001,
in March of 2002, answer of increasing is 50.8
% and decreasing is 5.7 %
While
answer of increasing expectation was 65.1 %, decreasing expectation
was 2.6 % in April of 2001,
in April of 2002 answer of increasing expectation is 38.2
% and decreasing expectation is 0.7 %

material prices;
While answer of increasing was 71.6 % and decreasing was 8.1
% in March of 2001,
in March of 2002, answer of increasing is
44.1 % and decreasing is 2.9 %.
While
answer of increasing expectation was 65.0 %, decreasing
expectation was 6.8 % in April of 2001,
in April of 2002 answer of increasing expectation is 31.4 %
and decreasing expectation is 11.1 %
