ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY UTILIZATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, INCREASED FROM 78.4 % IN JANUARY OF 1997 TO 75.5 % IN JANUARY OF 1998, FROM THE PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL RESULT OF 510 LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.
Comparison of the reasons for not working in full capacity to the same month of the previous year is summarized below;


A general evaluation has done in the written explanation on the view of establishments for the present situation in January of 1998, expectation and in February of 1998 about production, sales, prices and stocks.

While answer of increasing was 27.4 % and decreasing was 52.9 % in January of 1997,
in January of 1998 answer of increasing is 16.5 % and decreasing is 51.3 %
While answer of increasing expectation was 46.2 % and decreasing expectation was 19.7 % in
February of 1997, in February of 1998, answer of increasing expectation is 45.8 % and decreasing
expectation is 25.6 %
Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic sales;
While answer of increasing was 17.4 % and decreasing was 62.8% in January of 1997,
in January of 1998 answer of increasing is 9.7 % and decreasing is 71.3 %
While answer of increasing expectation was 45.5 % and decreasing expectation was 25.1 % in
February of 1997, in February of 1998, answer of increasing expectation is 67.6 % and decreasing
expectation is 4.8 %

While answer of increasing was 75.2 % and decreasing was 1.6 % in January of 1997,
