SALES, STOCKS AND PRICES FOR THE REALISATION
IN MAY OF 2003 AND EXPECTATION IN JUNE OF
2003

ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY UTILISATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE , INCREASED FROM 75.7 % IN MAY OF 2002 TO 78.6 % IN MAY OF 2003, FROM THE PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL RESULTS OF 816 LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.
Comparison of the reasons for not working in full capacity to
the same month of the previous year is summarized below;
At the evaluation;
When the weighted average view of the establishments
for May of 2003 compared to the same month of the
previous year, establishments have thought
that their production and domestic sales decreased,
raw material
prices and sale prices decreased too.
When the weighted average expectation
of the same establishments for June of 2003 compared to the same
month of the previous year establishments
have thought that their production and domestic sales will
increase,
sale prices and raw material prices will decrease.
Percentage distributions of establishments on production are;
While answer of increasing was 65.0 % and decreasing
was 18.3 % in May of 2002,
in May of 2003 answer of increasing is 55.6
% and decreasing is 24.3 %.
While answer of increasing expectation was 37.4 % and decreasing
expectation was 24.9 % in June of 2002,
in June of 2003 answer of increasing expectation is 52.8
% and decreasing expectation is 15.6 %.
Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic sales;
While answer of increasing was 62.8 % and decreasing
was 15.8 % in May of 2002,
in May of 2003 answer of increasing is 51.7
% and decreasing is 27.9 %.
While answer of increasing expectation was 38.2 % and decreasing expectation
was 27.3 % in June of 2002,
in June of 2003 answer of increasing expectation is 50.2 % and decreasing
expectation is 17.9 %.
Percentage distributions of establishments on sale prices;
While answer of increasing was 52.5 % and decreasing was
1.4 % in May of 2002,
in May of 2003 answer of increasing is 17.1
% and decreasing is 40.9 %.
While answer of increasing expectation was 44.3 % and decreasing expectation
was 0.5 % in June of 2002,
in June of 2003 answer of increasing expectation is 14.4 % and decreasing
expectation is 8.6 %.
Percentage distributions of establishments on raw material prices;
While answer of increasing was 49.4 % and decreasing
was 1.0 % in May of 2002,
in May of 2003 answer of increasing is 18.0
% and decreasing is 37.3 %.
While answer of increasing expectation was 38.3 % and decreasing expectation
was 0.6 % in June of 2002,
in June of 2003 answer of increasing expectation is 19.4 % and decreasing
expectation is 15.9 %.
