STOCKS AND PRICES FOR THE JUNE OF 1997

ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE CAPACITY UTILIZATION RATIO DECREASED FROM 81.6 % FROM JUNE OF 1996 TO 80.2 % IN JUNE OF 1997, FROM MONTHLY TENDENCY SURVEY THAT COVERS 516 LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.

When the reasons for not working in full capacity compare to the same month of the previous year ;




In the written explanation there is an evaluation on present situation for the June 1997 and expectation for the July, about production, sales, prices and stocks.

At the evaluation;

When the weighted average view of the establishments for June of 1997 compare to the same month of the previous year, establishments have thought that their domestic sales, sales prices and raw materials prices raised, production decreased.

When the weighted average expectation of the same establishments for July of 1997 compare to the same month of the previous year, establishments have thought that their production, sales prices and raw materials prices will rise, domestic sales will decr ease.

While 41.1 % of the establishments explained that production increased and 36.9 % of them state decreased in June of 1996, 31.5 % of the establishments explained that production increased and 45.9 % of them state decreased in June of 1997.

While 36.3 % of the establishments explained that production increased and 25.7 % of them state decreased in July of 1996, 54.1 % of the establishments explained that production will increase and 13.6 % of them state will decrease in July of 1997.

While 32.6 % of the establishments explained that domestic sales increased and 49.0 % of them state decreased in June of 1996, 38.2 % of the establishments explained that domestic sales increased and 44.9 % of them state decreased in June of 1997.

While 51.7 % of the establishments explained that domestic sales increased and 15.7 % of them state decreased in July of 1996, 51.0 % of the establishments explained that domestic sales will increase and 17.2 % of them state will decrease in July of 1997.

While 56.9 % of the establishments explained that sales prices increased and 4.7 % of them state decreased in June of 1996, 73.9 % of the establishments explained that sales prices increased and 0.2 % of them state decreased in June of 1997.

While 35.1 % of the establishments explained that sales prices increased and 0.7 % of them state decreased in July of 1996, 69.1 % of the establishments explained that sales prices will increase and 0.4 % of them state will decrease in July of 1997.

While 53.4 % of the establishments explained that raw materials prices increased and 12.2 % of them state decreased in June of 1996, 83.6 % of the establishments explained that raw materials prices increased and 0.1 % of them state decreased in June of 1997.

While 52.8 % of the establishments explained that raw materials prices increased and 2.2 % of them state decreased in July of 1996, 80.6 % of the establishments explained that raw materials prices will increase and 0.9 % of them state will decrease in Ju ly of 1997.
