EXPLAINED THE RESULT OF THE MONTHLY TENDENCY SURVEY WHICH REFLECT VIEW OF THE ESTABLISHMENTS IN MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY ABOUT PRODUCTION, SALES,  STOCKS  AND PRICES  FOR  THE  REALISATION  IN  SEPTEMBER OF  2002 AND EXPECTATION  IN  OCTOBER OF  2002
(Production  -  Sales  -  Prices)

     ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY   UTILISATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, INCREASED FROM  72.9 % IN SEPTEMBER OF 2001  TO 80.0  %  IN  SEPTEMBER  OF  2002,  FROM  THE PRIMARILY  PROVISIONAL  RESULTS  OF  803   LARGE
SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.

 Comparison of the reasons for not working in full capacity to the same month of the previous year is summarized below;

     A general  evaluation has done  in  the written explanation on the view of establishments for the present situation in September of  2002, expectation in October of  2002 about production, domestic sales, sale and raw material prices.

    At the evaluation;

    When the weighted average view of the establishments for September of  2002 compare to the same month of the previous year,  establishments  have  thought  that  their production and domestic sales increased, sale prices and raw
material prices decreased.

    When  the  weighted  average expectation of  the same establishments for October  of  2002 compare to the same
month of  the  previous  year  establishments have thought  that their production will decreased and domestic sales will increased, sale prices and raw material  prices will decreased.

Percentage distributions of establishments on production are;
    While answer of  increasing was  45.7  % and decreasing was 37.1 %  in September  of  2001,
    in September of 2002  answer  of  increasing  is 44.3  %  and  decreasing  is  31.3 %.

    While answer of increasing expectation was 38.1 % and decreasing expectation was 27.1 % in October of 2001,
    in October  of 2002 answer of increasing expectation is 46.3 % and decreasing expectation is 18.0 %.

Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic sales;
    While answer of  increasing was  35.4  % and decreasing was 46.9 %  in September  of  2001,
    in September of 2002  answer  of  increasing  is 52.4  %  and  decreasing  is  29.5 %.

    While answer of increasing expectation was 40.7 % and decreasing expectation was 20.8 % in October of 2001,
    in October  of 2002 answer of increasing expectation is 34.8 % and decreasing expectation is 29.3 %.

Percentage distributions of establishments on sale prices;
    While answer of  increasing was  67.3  % and decreasing was 4.0 %  in September  of  2001,
    in September of 2002  answer  of  increasing  is 55.5  %  and  decreasing  is  2.1 %.

    While answer of increasing expectation was 47.0 % and decreasing expectation was 1.7 % in October of 2001,
    in October  of 2002 answer of increasing expectation is 53.9 % and decreasing expectation is 1.5 %.

Percentage distributions of establishments on raw material prices;
    While answer of  increasing was  73.7  % and decreasing was 1.6 %  in September  of  2001,
    in September of 2002  answer  of  increasing  is 55.5  %  and  decreasing  is  2.5 %.

    While answer of increasing expectation was 59.4 % and decreasing expectation was 1.8 % in October of 2001,
    in October  of 2002 answer of increasing expectation is 51.3 % and decreasing expectation is 4.7 %.
