ACCORDING TO THE PROVISIONAL RESULTS OF MONTHLY MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY TENDENCY SURVEY COMPILED FROM 545 ESTABLISHMENTS, THE PRODUCTION WEIGHTED CAPACITY UTILIZATION HAS BEEN DETERMINED TO BE 81.9 % IN OCTOBER 1996. THE FIGURE WAS 80.6 % IN THE SAME MONTH OF PREVIOUS YEAR.
The reasons for inability to full capacity utilization are:

60.9 % of the establishments stated an increase while the 20.9 % stated a decrease of production in October 1996. The figures in October 1995 were 45.2 %, and 35.7 %, respectively.
38.3 % of the establishments expect an increase, while 31.4 % expect a decrease in production in November 1996. In November 1995, the expectations were 35.7 %, and 28.9 %, respectively.
