EXPLAINED THE RESULT OF THE MONTHLY TENDENCY SURVEY WHICH REFLECT VIEW OF THE ESTABLISHMENTS IN MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY ABOUT PRODUCTION, SALES,  STOCKS  AND PRICES  FOR  THE  REALISATION  IN  JANUARY OF  2002 AND EXPECTATION  IN  FEBRUARY OF  2002

ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY   UTILISATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, INCREASED FROM  70.5 % IN JANUARY OF 2001 TO 74.2 % IN JANUARY OF 2002, FROM THE PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL RESULT OF 788  LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.



        Comparison of the reasons for not working in full capacity to the same month of the previous year is summarized below;


        A general evaluation has done in the written explanation on the view of establishments for the present situation in January of  2002, expectation in February of  2002 about production, domestic sales, sale and raw material prices.
 

        At the evaluation;

        When  the weighted  average view of  the establishments  for January  of  2002 compare  to the same month of the previous  year, establishments  have  thought  that  their production  increased  and  domestic  sales  decreased, sale prices and raw material prices increased.

        When  the  weighted average expectation of  the  same  establishments  for February of 2002 compare to the same month of the previous year  establishments have thought that their production and  domestic sales will decreased, sale prices and raw material  prices  will increased.

Percentage distributions of establishments on production are;

    While answer of  increasing was  36.4  % and decreasing was 45.3 % in January of 2001,
    in  January of 2002  answer  of  increasing  is  35.0  %  and  decreasing  is  47.6  %.

    While answer of increasing expectation was 44.0 % and decreasing expectation was 20.8 % in February of 2001,
    in February of 2002 answer of increasing expectation is 23.7 % and decreasing expectation is 42.8 %.

Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic sales;

    While answer of  increasing was 41.0 % and decreasing was 45.4 % in January of 2001,
    in January of 2002 answer  of  increasing  is  40.3  %  and  decreasing  is  43.1  %

    While answer of increasing expectation was 49.8 % and decreasing expectation was ,17.7 % in February of 2001,
    in February of  2002 answer of increasing expectation is 36.7 % and decreasing expectation is 28.3 %

Percentage distributions of establishments on sale prices;

    While answer of  increasing was 43.6 % and decreasing was  17.3  %  in January of 2001,
    in January of 2002, answer  of  increasing is  46.2  %  and  decreasing  is  14.3  %

    While answer of increasing expectation was 42.0  %, decreasing  expectation was 8.9 % in February of 2001,
    in February of  2002 answer of increasing expectation is  42.2  %  and decreasing expectation is 1.9 %

Percentage distributions of establishments on raw material prices;

    While answer of increasing  was  44.3 % and decreasing was 11.3 %  in January of 2001,
    in January of  2002, answer  of  increasing  is  38.9  %  and  decreasing  is  28.9  %.

    While answer of increasing expectation was  47.1 %,  decreasing  expectation  was 6.4  % in February of 2001,
    in February of  2002 answer of increasing expectation is  50.2  %  and decreasing expectation is 1.7 %
