EXPLAINED THE RESULT OF THE MONTHLY TENDENCY SURVEY WHICH REFLECT VIEW
OF THE ESTABLISHMENTS IN MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY ABOUT PRODUCTION, SALES,  STOCKS  AND PRICES  FOR  THE  RELATION  IN  AUGUST OF  2000 AND
EXPECTATION  IN  SEPTEMBER OF  2000
(Production  -  Sales  -  Prices)

         ACCORDING   TO   THE   STATEMENT  OF  THE    PRESIDENT   OF   SIS,   RATE  OF   CAPACITY
UTILIZATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, INCREASED FROM  69.9 % IN AUGUST
OF 1999  TO 75.8  %  IN AUGUST OF 2000,  FROM  THE  PRIMARILY  PROVISIONAL  RESULT  OF 540 LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.

           Comparison of the reasons for not working in full capacity to the same month of the previous year is summarized
below;

     A  general  evaluation  has  done in the written explanation on the view of establishments for the present situation in
August  of  2000, expectation in  September  of  2000 about production, domestic sales, sale and raw material prices.

At the evaluation;
       When  the  weighted  average  view of the establishments for August  of  2000 compare to the same month of the
previous  year,  establishments  have  thought  that  their  production and domestic sales increased, sale prices and raw
material prices decreased.
        When  the  weighted  average  expectation  of  the  same establishments for  September of  2000 compare to the
same month of the previous year  establishments have thought that their production, domestic sales, sale prices and raw material  prices  will decrease.

Percentage distributions of establishments on production are;

While answer of  increasing was  35.6  % and decreasing was 47.0 % in August of 1999, in August of 2000  answer  of  increasing  is  53.3  %  and  decreasing  is  29.9  %

While  answer of increasing expectation was 55.1 % and decreasing expectation was 15.8 % in September of 1999, in September of 2000 answer of increasing expectation is 47.9  % and decreasing expectation is 20.8 %

Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic sales;

While answer of  increasing was 30.4 % and decreasing was 52.4 % in August of  1999,  in August of 2000 answer  of  increasing  is  69.3  %  and  decreasing  is  13.3 %

While answer of increasing expectation was 54.1 % and decreasing expectation was 13.9 % in September of 1999, in September of 2000 answer of increasing expectation is 38.9 % and decreasing expectation is 29.7  %

Percentage distributions of establishments on sale prices;

While answer of  increasing was 60.9 % and decreasing was  2.4  %  in August of 1999, in August of 2000, answer  of  increasing is  65.0  %  and  decreasing  is  1.9  %

While answer of increasing expectation was 50.8  %, decreasing  expectation was 0.4 % in September of  1999, in September of 2000 answer of increasing expectation is 28.7  % and decreasing expectation is  0.4  %

Percentage distributions of establishments on raw material prices;

While answer of increasing was 72.5 % and decreasing was  3.1 %  in August of 1999,  in August of  2000, answer  of  increasing  is  59.6  %  and  decreasing  is  7.4  %.

While answer of increasing  expectation was 58.8  %, decreasing expectation was 0.9 % in September of  1999, in September of 2000 answer of increasing expectation is 49.5 % and decreasing  expectation  is  0.7 %
