IN AUGUST OF 2001 AND EXPECTATION IN SEPTEMBER
OF 2001

ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS,
RATE OF CAPACITY UTILISATION
THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, DECREASED
FROM 75.8 % IN AUGUST OF
2000 TO 71.4 % IN AUGUST OF 2001, FROM THE PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL
RESULT OF
680 LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS
Comparison of the reasons for not working in full capacity to the same month of the previous year is summarized below;

At the evaluation;
When the weighted
average view of the establishments for August
of 2001 compare to the same month of the previous
year, establishments have thought that their production, domestic sales
decreased, sale prices and raw material prices increased.
When the weighted average expectation of the same establishments for September of 2001 compare to the same month of the previous year, establishments have thought that their production, domestic sales, sale prices and raw material prices will increased.
Percentage distributions of establishments on
production are;
While answer of increasing
was 53.5 % and decreasing was 28.5
% in August of 2000, in August of 2001
answer of increasing is
38.2 % and decreasing is 36.1 %
While answer of increasing expectation
was 47.7 % and decreasing expectation was 18.8 % in September of
2000,
in September of 2001 answer of
increasing expectation is 48.1 % and decreasing expectation is 8.8 %

domestic sales;
While answer of increasing was
68.3 % and decreasing was 3.3 % in August of

was 40.4 % and decreasing expectation

2000, in September of 2001 answer of increasing
expectation is 41.5 % and decreasing expectation is 25.5 %
