THE RESULT OF THE MONTHLY TENDENCY SURVEY
                                                    (Production  -  Sales  -  Prices)

    THE RATE OF CAPACITY   UTILISATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, INCREASED FROM  80.4 % IN  OCTOBER OF 2002 TO 80.8 % IN OCTOBER OF 2003, FROM
THE  PRIMARILY  PROVISIONAL  RESULTS  OF  828  LARGE   SCALE   MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.

  When the reasons of not working in full capacity for October of 2003 compared to the same month of the previous
year,  shortage of  demands in domestic market decreased from 58.9 % to  48.8 %,  shortage of demands in foreign
market increased from 12.3 %  to  17.1 %.

   A general evaluation has been made on the view of establishments for the present situation in October of  2003 and expectation in November of  2003 regarding production, domestic sales, sale and raw material prices.

At the evaluation;
  When  the  weighted average view of the establishments for October of  2003 compared  to the same month of the
previous year, establishments have thought that their production and domestic sales increased, sale prices decreased
but raw material prices increased.

  When the weighted average expectation of the same establishments for November of 2003 compared  to the same
month  of  the previous year  establishments have thought  that their production will decrease and domestic sales will
decrease, sale prices will decrease and raw material  prices will increase.
