         EXPLAINED THE RESULT OF THE MONTHLY TENDENCY SURVEY WHICH REFLECT  VIEW  OF  THE ESTABLISHMENTS IN MANUFACTURING  INDUSTRY ABOUT PRODUCTION, SALES,              STOCKS  AND PRICES  FOR  THE  RELATION INMAY  OF  2001 AND
EXPECTATION  IN  JUNE OF  2001
 (Production  -  Sales  -  Prices)
 
          ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE  OF CAPACITY UTILIZATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, DECREASED FROM  77.1 % IN MAY OF
  2000 TO 70.3 % IN MAY OF 2001, FROM THE PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL RESULT OF 705 LARGE
                           SCALE MANUFACTURING  INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.

           Comparison of the reasons for not working in full capacity to the same month of the previous year is summarized below;


         A general evaluation has done in the written explanation on the view of establishments for the present situation in May of 2001, expectation in June of 2001 about production,domestic sales, sale and raw material prices.

At the evaluation;

       When  the  weighted  average  view of  the  establishments for May of  2001 compare to the
same month of  the  previous year, establishments  have  thought  that  their production decreased, domestic sales, sale prices and raw material prices increased.

        When the  weighted  average  expectation  of  the  same  establishments  for  June  of  2001 compare   to  the  same  month  of   the  previous   year  establishments  have   thought   that  their
production, domestic sales will decrease, sale prices and raw material prices will increased.

    Percentage distributions of establishments on production are;
 
    While  answer  of   increasing  was  53.9  %  and  decreasing  was  27.0 %  in May of 2000, in
 May of 2001 answer  of  increasing  is  55.6  %  and  decreasing  is  21.7  %
 
    While  answer  of  increasing  expectation was 49.6 % and decreasing expectation was 11.7 %
in  June  of  2000, in  June of  2001 answer of  increasing  expectation  is 50.5 %  and  decreasing expectation is 16.0 %
 
    Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic sales;
 
    While  answer  of   increasing  was  55.3  %  and  decreasing  was 25.4  % in May of 2000,  in
May of 2001 answer  of  increasing  is  57.0  %  and  decreasing  is  19.5  %

    While  answer of  increasing  expectation  was 51.3 % and decreasing expectation was 11.0 %
in June of 2000, in June of 2001 answer of increasing expectation is 47.4 % and decreasing expectation is  14.0 %
 
    Percentage distributions of establishments on sale prices;
 
    While  answer of   increasing  was 60.1 %  and  decreasing  was  1.1  %  in  May  of  2000,  in
May of 2001, answer  of  increasing is  62.9  %  and  decreasing  is  6.3  %

    While  answer of  increasing  expectation  was  43.8  %, decreasing  expectation  was 3.0 % in
June of   2000, in  June  of  2001  answer  of   increasing expectation  is 59.2  %  and  decreasing expectation is 3.3 %

    Percentage distributions of establishments on raw material prices;

    While  answer of  increasing  was  68.4 %  and  decreasing  was  2.3 %  in  May  of  2000,  in
May of  2001, answer  of  increasing  is  65.7  %  and  decreasing  is  5.1  %.

    While  answer of  increasing  expectation  was  56.2 %, decreasing  expectation  was 1.8 % in
June  of  2000, in  June of  2001 answer of  increasing  expectation   is  58.8  %  and  decreasing expectation  is 1.0 %
