EXPLAINED THE RESULT OF THE MONTHLY TENDENCY SURVEY WHICH REFLECT VIEW OF THE ESTABLISHMENTS IN MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY ABOUT PRODUCTION, SALES,  STOCKS  AND PRICES  FOR  THE  REALISATION  IN  NOVEMBER OF  2002 AND EXPECTATION  IN  DECEMBER OF  2002

ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY   UTILISATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, INCREASED FROM  74.0 % IN NOVEMBER OF 2001 TO 77.1 % IN NOVEMBER OF 2002, FROM THE PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL RESULTS OF 848  LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.

        Comparison of the reasons for not working in full capacity to the same month of the previous year is summarized below;


        A  general  evaluation  has done  in the written explanation on  the  view of establishments for the present situation in
    November of  2002, expectation in December of  2002  about  production, domestic sales, sale and  raw  material
    prices.
 

        At the evaluation;

        When  the weighted  average view of  the establishments for November of  2002  compared  to  the  same  month
    of  the previous year, establishments have  thought that their production and domestic sales decreased, sale prices and
    raw material prices  decreased.

        When the weighted average expectation of  the  same establishments for December of 2002 compared  to the same
    month of  the  previous  year  establishments   have  thought  that   their  production  will  increase, domestic  sales  will
    decrease, sale prices and raw material  prices will decrease.

        Percentage distributions of establishments on production are;
        While answer of  increasing was  34.6  % and decreasing was 47.2 %  in November  of  2001,
         in November of 2002  answer  of  increasing  is 31.0  %  and  decreasing  is  48.6 %.

        While answer of increasing expectation was 21.5 % and decreasing expectation was 46.8 % in December of 2001,
        in December  of 2002 answer of increasing expectation is 30.1 % and decreasing expectation is 33.0 %.

        Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic sales;
        While answer of  increasing was  35.0  % and decreasing was 46.8 %  in November  of  2001,
        in November of 2002  answer  of  increasing  is 38.6  %  and  decreasing  is  38.7  %.

        While answer of increasing expectation was 32.2 % and decreasing expectation was 35.1 % in December of 2001,
         in December  of 2002 answer of increasing expectation is 27.1 % and decreasing expectation is 35.2 %.

        Percentage distributions of establishments on sale prices;
        While answer of  increasing was 62.9  % and decreasing was 3.7 %  in November  of  2001,
        in November of 2002  answer  of  increasing  is 22.5  %  and  decreasing  is  32.8  %.

        While answer of increasing expectation was 41.6 % and decreasing expectation was 3.1 % in December of 2001,
        in December  of 2002 answer of increasing expectation is 39.6 % and decreasing expectation is 1.2 %.

        Percentage distributions of establishments on raw material prices;
        While answer of  increasing was  35.9  % and decreasing was 22.7 %  in November  of  2001,
        in November of 2002  answer  of  increasing  is 27.9  %  and  decreasing  is  25.1  %.

        While answer of increasing expectation was 48.1 % and decreasing expectation was 0.8 % in December of 2001,
        in December  of 2002 answer of increasing expectation is 30.0 % and decreasing expectation is 2.1 %.
