            EXPLAINED THE RESULT OF THE MONTHLY TENDENCY SURVEY WHICH REFLECT VIEW OF

     THE ESTABLISHMENTS IN MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY ABOUT PRODUCTION, SALES,  STOCKS        AND  PRICES  FOR THE  RELATION  IN  JANUARY  OF  2001  AND  EXPECTATION IN FEBRUARY OF 2001

ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY   UTILIZATION
THAT   IS   WEIGHTED  BY   PRODUCTION   VALUE,  INCREASED   FROM   73.0  %  IN  JANUARY  OF  2000   TO 71.8 %  IN JANUARY OF 2001, FROM THE PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL RESULT OF 564 LARGE SCALE  MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.

           Comparison of the reasons for not working in full capacity to the same month of the previous year is summarized below;


          A general evaluation has done in the written explanation on the view of establishments for the present situation in January of  2001, expectation in  Fabruary of  2001 about production, domestic sales, sale and raw material prices.

At the evaluation;
       When  the  weighted  average view of the establishments for January  of  2001 compare to the same  month  of  the  previous  year, establishments  have  thought  that their production decreased, domestic sales increased, sale prices and raw material prices decreased.

        When the weighted  average  expectation of  the same  establishments  for  February of  2001 compare to the same month of  the previous year  establishments have thought that their production, domestic sales,  sale prices and raw material  prices  will decrease.

Percentage distributions of establishments on production are;

While answer of increasing was 27.1 % and decreasing was 51.0 % in January of 2000, in January of 2001  answer  of  increasing  is  33.0  %  and  decreasing  is  46.2  %
 
While  answer  of increasing expectation  was  51.0  % and decreasing  expectation was 19.5 % in February of 2000, in February of 2001 answer of increasing expectation is 41.4  % and decreasing expectation is 21.6 %

Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic sales;

While answer of increasing was 30.8 % and decreasing was 54.5 % in January of 2000, in January of 2001 answer  of  increasing  is  39.8  %  and  decreasing  is  47.3 %

While answer of increasing expectation was  45.7  % and decreasing  expectation  was  21.1 %  in February of 2000, in February of 2001 answer of increasing expectation is 49.1 % and decreasing expectation is 17.9 %

Percentage distributions of establishments on sale prices;

While answer of  increasing was 63.8 % and decreasing was 3.5 %  in January of 2000, in January of 2001, answer  of  increasing is  41.2  %  and  decreasing  is 17.5  %

While  answer  of  increasing  expectation  was  64.6  %,  decreasing   expectation  was  0.2  %  in February of  2000, in February of 2001 answer of increasing expectation is 42.3 % and decreasing expectation is 10.4 %

Percentage distributions of establishments on raw material prices;

While answer of increasing was 63.9 % and decreasing was 1.3 %  in January of 2000, in January of  2001, answer  of  increasing  is  41.1  %  and  decreasing  is  12.8  %.

While  answer  of  increasing  expectation   was  58.4  %, decreasing   expectation  was  0.4  %  in February of  2000, in February of 2001 answer of increasing expectation is  46.4 % and decreasing expectation  is 7.8 %
