SALES, STOCKS AND PRICES FOR THE REALISATION
IN FEBRUARY OF 2002 AND EXPECTATION IN MARCH OF
2002

ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY UTILISATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, DECREASED FROM 70.9 % IN FEBRUARY OF 2001 TO 72.3 % IN FEBRUARY OF 2002, FROM THE PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL RESULT OF 789 LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.
Comparison of the reasons for not working in full capacity to the same month of the previous year is summarized below;

At the evaluation;
When the weighted
average view of the establishments for
February of 2002 compare to the same
month of the previous year, establishments
have thought that their production decreased,
domestic sales increased, sale prices and raw material prices decreased
.
When the weighted average expectation of the same establishments for March of 2002 compare to the same month of the previous year establishments have thought that their production and domestic sales will increased, sale prices and raw material prices will decreased.
Percentage distributions of establishments on production are;
While answer of increasing was 37.8 % and decreasing
was 41.1 % in February of 2001,
in February of 2002 answer of increasing
is 32.7 % and decreasing is 51.0
%.
While answer of increasing expectation was 39.0 % and decreasing expectation
was 23.5 % in March of
2001,in March of 2002 answer of increasing expectation is 53.4 % and
decreasing expectation is 17.0 %.
Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic sales;
While answer of increasing was 33.7 % and decreasing was 49.1
% in February of 2001,
in February of 2002 answer of increasing is
31.3 % and decreasing is 51.2 %
While answer of increasing expectation was 44.3 % and decreasing expectation was, 17.2 % in March of 2001,in March of 2002 answer of increasing expectation is 61.1 % and decreasing expectation is 6.7 %

While answer of increasing was 47.9 % and decreasing was
5.9 % in February of 2001,
in February of 2002, answer of increasing is 44.5
% and decreasing is 9.6 %
While answer of increasing expectation was 63.2 %, decreasing
expectation was 0.5 % in March of 2001,
in March of 2002 answer of increasing expectation is 30.6
% and decreasing expectation is 0.9 %

While answer of increasing was 57.8 % and decreasing was
4.4 % in February of 2001,
in February of 2002, answer of increasing is
40.3 % and decreasing is 4.2 %
While answer of increasing expectation was 61.4 %, decreasing
expectation was 3.5 % in March of 2002,
in March of 2002 answer of increasing expectation is 34.9
% and decreasing expectation is 11.2 %
