EXPLAINED THE RESULT OF THE MONTHLY TENDENCY SURVEY WHICH REFLECT VIEW
OF THE ESTABLISHMENTS IN MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY ABOUT PRODUCTION, SALES,
STOCKS  AND PRICES  FOR  THE  REALISATION  IN  JULY OF  2002 AND EXPECTATION  IN
AUGUST OF  2002

       ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY
UTILISATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, INCREASED FROM  71.1 %
IN JULY OF 2001 TO 77.5 % IN JULY OF 2002, FROM THE PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL RESULT
OF 859  LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.

     Comparison of the reasons for not working in full capacity to the same month of the previous year is summarized
below;

     A general evaluation has done in the written explanation on the view of establishments for the present situation
in July of  2002, expectation in August of  2002 about production, domestic sales, sale and raw material prices.

At the evaluation;
     When the weighted average view of the establishments for July of  2002   compare to the same month of the
previous year, establishments have thought that their production increased, domestic sales increased, sale prices
and raw material prices increased.
   When the weighted average expectation of the same establishments for August of 2002 compare to the same
month of the previous year  establishments have thought that their production and domestic sales will decreased,
sale prices and raw material  prices will increased.

 Percentage distributions of establishments on production are;
 While answer of  increasing was  40.2  % and decreasing was 39.1 %  in  July  of  2001,
 in  July of 2002  answer  of  increasing  is  58.5  %  and  decreasing  is  21.3  %.

 While answer of increasing expectation was 51.2 % and decreasing expectation was 17.7 % in August of 2001,
 in August of 2002 answer of increasing expectation is 31.3 % and decreasing expectation is 32.1 %.

 Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic sales;

 While answer of  increasing was 42.4 % and decreasing was 37.0 % in July of 2001,
 in July of 2002 answer  of  increasing  is  53.6  %  and  decreasing  is  27.1  %

 While answer of increasing expectation was 49.0 % and decreasing expectation was, 15.4 % in August of 2001,
 in August of  2002 answer of increasing expectation is 44.8  % and decreasing expectation is  16.9 %

 Percentage distributions of establishments on sale prices;

 While answer of  increasing was 53.6 % and decreasing was  11.8  %  in July of 2001,
 in July of 2002, answer  of  increasing is  63.0  %  and  decreasing  is 3.3  %

 While answer of increasing expectation was 55.1  %, decreasing  expectation was 4.4 % in August of 2001,
 in August of  2002 answer of increasing expectation is  54.1  %  and decreasing expectation is 4.0 %

 Percentage distributions of establishments on raw material prices;

 While answer of increasing  was  59.9 % and decreasing was 9.7 %  in July of 2001,
 in July of  2002, answer  of  increasing  is  69.4  %  and  decreasing  is  2.1  %.

 While answer of increasing expectation was  46.2 %,  decreasing  expectation  was 4.4  % in August of 2001,
 in August of  2002 answer of increasing expectation is 56.6  %  and decreasing expectation is 2.4 %
