EXPLAINED THE RESULT OF THE MONTHLY TENDENCY SURVEY WHICH REFLECT VIEW OF THE ESTABLISHMENTS IN MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY ABOUT PRODUCTION, SALES,  STOCKS  AND PRICES  FOR  THE  REALISATION  IN  JULY OF  2003 AND EXPECTATION  IN  AUGUST OF  2003
                                                  (Production  -  Sales  -  Prices)

               ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY   UTILISATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, INCREASED FROM  77.5 % IN  JULY
   OF   2002 TO 80.9 % IN JULY OF 2003, FROM THE PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL RESULTS OF  824
                    LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.

            
          
   According to the written statement,  when the reasons of not working in full capacity for July of 2003 compared to
the same month of the previous year, shortage of demands in domestic  market  increased  from 49,5 %  to 64,7 %,
shortage of demands in foreign market decreased from 18,4 %  to  15,1 %.

    A general evaluation has done in the written explanation on the view of establishments for the present situation in
July of  2003, expectation in August of  2003 about production, domestic sales, sale and raw material prices.

At the evaluation;

   When the weighted average view of the establishments for July of  2003 compared  to the same month of the previous
year, establishments have thought that their production and domestic sales increased, raw material prices and sale prices decreased.

   When  the weighted  average  expectation of   the  same  establishments  for  August of 2003  compared   to the same
month  of  the previous  year   establishments  have  thought  that   their  production  will increase and domestic sales will decrease,   sale prices and raw material  prices will decrease.
