EXPLAINED THE RESULT OF THE MONTHLY TENDENCY SURVEY WHICH REFLECT VIEW OF THE ESTABLISHMENTS IN MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY ABOUT PRODUCTION, SALES,  STOCKS  AND PRICES  FOR  THE  RELATION  IN  FEBRUARY OF  2001 AND EXPECTATION  IN  MARCH OF  2001

         ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY   UTILIZATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, DECREASED FROM  74.0 % IN FEBRUARY OF 2000 TO 70.2 % IN FEBRUARY OF 2001, FROM THE PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL RESULT OF 575 LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.

           Comparison of the reasons for not working in full capacity to the same month of the previous year is summarized below;


         A  general  evaluation  has  done in  the  written  explanation on  the  view of  establishments  for  the  present situation in February of  2001, expectation in March of  2001 about production, domestic sales, sale and raw material prices.

At the evaluation;

       When  the  weighted  average  view  of  the  establishments  for February  of  2001 compare  to  the same month of the previous year, establishments have thought that their  production, domestic  sales  and  sale  prices  decreased  and  raw material prices increased.

        When the weighted average expectation of the same establishments for  March of  2001 compare to the  same month  of the previous year  establishments have thought that their  production, domestic  sales  will  decrease,  sale prices and  raw material  prices  will increased.

Percentage distributions of establishments on production are;

    While  answer  of   increasing  was  41.9  %  and  decreasing  was  41.8  %  in  February  of 2000, in February of 2001
    answer  of  increasing  is  38.7  %  and  decreasing  is  41.4  %

    While answer of increasing expectation was 44.4 % and decreasing expectation was 22.2 % in March of 2000, in March
    of  2001 answer of increasing expectation is 39.9 % and decreasing expectation is 21.8 %

Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic sales;

    While answer  of   increasing  was 60.5 % and decreasing was 21.8 % in February of 2000,  in February of 2001 answer
    of   increasing  is  34.0  %  and  decreasing  is  49.8 %

    While answer of  increasing expectation was 33.0 % and decreasing expectation was 29.7 % in March of 2000, in March
    of  2001 answer of increasing expectation is 45.4 % and decreasing expectation is 16.0 %

Percentage distributions of establishments on sale prices;

    While answer of  increasing was 60.1 % and decreasing was  0.9  %  in February of 2000, in February of 2001, answer
    of  increasing is  49.0  %  and  decreasing  is 6.0  %

    While answer of increasing expectation was 45.2  %, decreasing  expectation was 0.6 % in March of  2000, in March  of
    2001 answer of increasing expectation is 66.4 % and decreasing expectation is 0.2 %

Percentage distributions of establishments on raw material prices;

    While answer of increasing  was  70.1 % and decreasing was 0.2 %  in February of 2000,  in February of  2001, answer
    of  increasing  is  59.0  %  and  decreasing  is  3.4  %.

    While answer of increasing expectation was 52.8 %, decreasing expectation was 1.0 % in March of  2000, in March of
    2001 answer of increasing expectation is  62.7 % and decreasing expectation  is 3.4 %
