EXPLAINED THE RESULT OF THE MONTHLY TENDENCY SURVEY WHICH REFLECT VIEW OF THE ESTABLISHMENTS IN MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY ABOUT PRODUCTION, SALES,  STOCKS  AND   PRICES  FOR  THE  REALISATION  IN  AUGUST OF  2002 AND EXPECTATION  IN                        SEPTEMBER OF  2002
(Production  -  Sales  -  Prices)



             ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY   UTILISATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, INCREASED FROM  71.7 % IN AUGUST  OF  2001  TO  76.4  %  IN AUGUST  OF  2002,  FROM THE PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL RESULTS  OF   842    LARGE   SCALE   MANUFACTURING   INDUSTRIAL  ESTABLISHMENTS.

             Comparison of the reasons for not working in full capacity to the same month of the previous year is
summarized below;
 
 

            A general evaluation has done in the written explanation on the view of establishments for the present
   situation in August of  2002, expectation in September of  2002 about production, domestic sales, sale and
   raw material prices.

At the evaluation;

          When the weighted average view of the establishments for August of  2002 compare to the same month of the previous year, establishments have thought that their production and domestic sales decreased, sale prices and raw material prices decreased.

          When the weighted average expectation of the same establishments for September of 2002 compare to the same month of the previous year  establishments have thought that their production and domestic sales will decreased, sale prices and raw material  prices will decreased.

Percentage distributions of establishments on production are;

While answer of  increasing was  40.5  % and decreasing was 35.2 %  in August  of  2001,
in August of 2002  answer  of  increasing  is 47.1  %  and  decreasing  is  32.4 %.

While answer of increasing expectation was 47.1 % and decreasing expectation was 10.7 % in September of 2001,
in September  of 2002 answer of increasing expectation is 32.6 % and decreasing expectation is 36.0 %.

Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic sales;

While answer of  increasing was 52.2 % and decreasing was 27.5 % in August of 2001,
in August of 2002 answer  of  increasing  is  31.9  %  and  decreasing  is  44.1 %.

While answer of increasing expectation was 40.7 % and decreasing expectation was, 25.3 % in September of 2001,
in September of  2002 answer of increasing expectation is 33.8  % and decreasing expectation is  32.5 %.

Percentage distributions of establishments on sale prices;

While answer of  increasing was 68.2 % and decreasing was  3.0  %  in August of 2001,
in August of 2002, answer  of  increasing is 55.1  %  and  decreasing  is 6.6 %.

While answer of increasing expectation was 50.6  %, decreasing  expectation was 2.2 % in September of 2001,
in September of  2002 answer of increasing expectation is  49.2  %  and decreasing expectation is 4.7 %.

Percentage distributions of establishments on raw material prices;

While answer of increasing  was  65.0 % and decreasing was 5.6 %  in August of 2001,
in August of  2002, answer  of  increasing  is 45.2  %  and  decreasing  is  14.5  %.

While answer of increasing expectation was  62.7 %,  decreasing  expectation  was 4.9  % in September of 2001,
in September of  2002 answer of increasing expectation is 42.4 %  and decreasing expectation is 2.2 %.
