ACCORDING TO THE PROVISIONAL RESULTS OF QUARTERLY MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY TENDENCY SURVEY COMPILED FROM 1965 ESTABLISHMENTS, THE PRODUCTION WEIGHTED CAPACITY UTILIZATION HAS INCREASED TO 77.9 % IN THE SECOND QUARTER OF 1996. THE FIGURE WAS 79.4 % IN THE SAME QUARTER OF PREVIOUS YEAR.
The reasons for inability to full capacity utilization are:

65.4 % of the establishments stated an increased while the 19.6 % stated a decrease of production in the second quarter of 1996. The figures in the same quarter of the previous year were 67.9 %, and 16.5 %, respectively.
47.5 % of the establishments expect an increase, while 24.4 % expect a decrease in production in the third quarter of 1996. In the same quarter of 1995, the expectations were 59.1 %, and 14.2 %, respectively.
As for domestic sales,
58.9 % of the establishments stated an increased while the 26.0 % stated a decrease of production in the second quarter of 1996. The figures in the same quarter of the previous year were 60.3 %, and 25.7 %, respectively.
61.6 % of the establishments expect an increase, while 11.6 % expect a decrease in production in the third quarter of 1996. The expectations in previous year were 60.3 %, and 14.7 %, respectively.
