PRESIDENT OF THE STATE INSTITUTE OF STATISTICS EXPLAINED
 THE RESULT OF THE QUARTERLY TENDENCY SURVEY WHICH REFLECT VIEW OF THE ESTABLISHMENTS IN THE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY ON PRODUCTION, SALES, STOCKS AND PRICES FOR THE REALISATION IN  THE THIRD QUARTER
( JULY-AUGUST-SEPTEMBER )  OF 2000 AND EXPECTATION  FOR  THE FOURTH QUARTER ( OCTOBER - NOVEMBER - DECEMBER )  OF  2000

ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY UTILIZATION  THAT IS WEIGHTED  BY  PRODUCTION  VALUE,  INCREASED  FROM  71.6  %  IN  THE  THIRD  QUARTER  OF 1999  TO 76.6  % IN THE THIRD QUARTER OF 2000,  FROM   THE   PRIMARILY   PROVISIONAL   RESULT  OF  2171  LARGE  SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.

Comparison of the reasons for not working in full capacity to the same quarter of the previous year is summarized below;



            A general evaluation has done in the written explanation on the view of establishments for the present  situation   in  the  third  quarter 2000  and expectation  in  the  fourth  quarter of 2000 about production, domestic sales, sales prices and raw material prices.

At the evaluation;

Percentage distributions of establishments on production are;

While answer of  increasing was  45.2 % and decreasing was 40.8 % in the third quarter  of 1999, in the same quarter of 2000, answer of increasing is 52.8 % and decreasing is 32.1 %

While answer of increasing expectation was 57.2 % and decreasing expectation was 17.6 % in the fourth  quarter of 1999, in the same  quarter of 2000, answer of increasing  expectation  is  53.0 % and decreasing expectation is 18.0  %

Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic sales;

While answer of  increasing was  43.4 % and decreasing was 40.9 % in the third quarter  of 1999, in the same quarter of 2000, answer of increasing is 52.9  % and decreasing is 31.7 %

While answer of increasing expectation was  58.0 % and decreasing expectation was 17.5 % in the fourth quarter of 1999, in the same quarter of 2000, answer of increasing expectation is 48.8 % and decreasing expectation is 18.7 %

Percentage distributions of establishments on sale prices;

While answer of increasing was  79.9 % and decreasing was 2.4 % in the third quarter  of 1999, in the same quarter of 2000, answer of increasing is 72.0 % and decreasing is 3.1 %

While answer of increasing expectation was   74.3  % and decreasing  expectation was  0.7 % in the fourth  quarter of 1999, in the same quarter of 2000, answer of increasing expectation is 62.6 % and decreasing expectation is 0.8 %

Percentage distributions of establishments on raw material prices;

While answer of increasing was  81.9 % and decreasing was  0.8 % in the third  quarter  of 1999, in the same quarter of 2000, answer of increasing is  75.3 % and decreasing is 2.8 %

While answer of increasing expectation was   69.8  % and decreasing expectation was  0.4 % in the fourth quarter of 1999, in the same quarter of 2000, answer of increasing expectation is 70.8 % and  decreasing expectation is 1.1  %
