PRESIDENT OF THE STATE INSTITUTE OF STATISTICS EXPLAINED
 THE RESULT OF THE QUARTERLY TENDENCY SURVEY WHICH REFLECT VIEW OF THE ESTABLISHMENTS IN THE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY ON PRODUCTION, SALES,         STOCKS AND PRICES FOR THE REALISATION IN  THE SECOND QUARTER
 ( APRIL - MAY - JUNE )  OF  2000  AND  EXPECTATION  FOR  THE THIRD  QUARTER
 ( JULY - AUGUST - SEPTEMBER ) OF 2000

ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY UTILIZATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, INCREASED FROM 75.7 % IN  THE SECOND QUARTER OF 1999 TO 76.1 % IN THE SECOND QUARTER OF 2000, FROM THE PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL RESULT OF 1955 LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.

Comparison of the reasons for not working in full capacity to the same quarter of the previous year is summarized below;


        A general evaluation has done in the written explanation on the view of establishments for the present situation in the second quarter of 2000 and  expectation  in  the  third quarter of 2000 about production, domestic sales, sales prices and raw material prices.
 

At the evaluation;
Percentage distributions of establishments on production are;

While answer of  increasing was  64.3 % and decreasing was 16.3 % in the second quarter  of 1999, in the same quarter of 2000, answer of increasing is 63.7 % and decreasing is 23.2 %

While answer of increasing expectation was 58.1 % and decreasing expectation was 15.1 % in the third  quarter of 1999, in the same  quarter of 2000, answer of increasing expectation is 49.9 % and decreasing expectation is 18.4  %

Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic sales;

While answer of  increasing was  64.2 % and decreasing was 22.3  % in the second quarter  of 1999, in the same quarter of 2000, answer of increasing is 64.9  % and decreasing is 22.5 %

While  answer  of  increasing  expectation  was  53.4  %  and  decreasing expectation was 17.5 % in the third  quarter of 1999, in the same quarter of 2000, answer of increasing expectation is 43.9 % and decreasing expectation is 22.8 %

Percentage distributions of establishments on sale prices;

While answer of increasing was  77.2 % and decreasing was 2.5 % in the second quarter  of 1999, in the same quarter of 2000, answer of increasing is 71.5 % and decreasing is 2.1 %

While  answer  of  increasing  expectation  was   68.2  %  and  decreasing  expectation was  1.9 % in the third  quarter of 1999, in the same quarter of 2000, answer of increasing expectation is 60.1 % and decreasing expectation is 1.6 %

Percentage distributions of establishments on raw material prices;

While  answer  of increasing was  79.3 % and decreasing was  3.1 % in the second  quarter  of 1999, in the same quarter of 2000, answer of increasing is  74.2 % and decreasing is 4.3 %

While  answer of increasing expectation was  72.2 % and decreasing expectation was 1.7 % in the third  quarter of 1999, in the same quarter of 2000, answer of increasing expectation is 69.7 % and decreasing expectation is 2.0  %
