THE RESULT OF THE QUARTERLY TENDENCY SURVEY WHICH REFLECT VIEW OF THE ESTABLISHMENTS IN THE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY ON PRODUCTION, SALES, STOCKS AND PRICES FOR THE REALISATION IN  THE SECOND QUARTER
( APRIL - MAY - JUNE )  OF  2001  AND  EXPECTATION   FOR   THE   THIRD  QUARTER                ( JULY - AUGUST - SEPTEMBER )  OF  2001

ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY UTILIZATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, DECREASED FROM 76.3 % IN  THE SECOND QUARTER OF 2000 TO  70.6 %  IN THE SECOND QUARTER OF 2001, FROM THE PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL RESULT OF 2123 LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.

        Comparison of the reasons for not working in full capacity to the same quarter of the previous year is summarized below;


        A general evaluation has done in the written explanation on the view of establishments for the present situation in the  second  quarter of  2001 and  expectation in the third quarter of 2001 about production, domestic sales, sales prices and raw material prices.
 

At the evaluation;

Percentage distributions of establishments on production are;

While  answer  of  increasing  was  64.5  % and  decreasing  was 22.1 %  in the second quarter  of 2000, in the same quarter of 2001, answer of increasing is 44.5 % and decreasing is  42.1 %

While answer of increasing expectation was 50.7 % and  decreasing  expectation  was 17.5 % in the  third  quarter of  2000, in  the  same  quarter of  2001, answer  of  increasing  expectation  is  54.6  %  and  decreasing  expectation  is 15.9  %

Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic sales;

While  answer  of  increasing  was  65.2 %  and  decreasing  was 21.6 %  in  the second quarter of 2000, in the same quarter of 2001, answer of increasing is 47.6  % and decreasing is 37.7 %

While  answer of  increasing  expectation was  45.8 % and decreasing expectation was 20.8 % in the third quarter of 2000, in  the  same  quarter of   2001, answer  of  increasing  expectation  is  56.0 %  and  decreasing  expectation is 11.6 %

Percentage distributions of establishments on sale prices;

While  answer  of  increasing  was  70.2  %  and  decreasing  was 2.3 %  in  the second quarter  of 2000, in the same quarter of 2001, answer of increasing is  79.8 % and decreasing is 6.1 %

While  answer of  increasing  expectation  was  59.7  % and decreasing  expectation was 1.4 % in the third quarter of 2000, in  the  same  quarter of  2001, answer of increasing expectation is 67.2 % and decreasing expectation is 1.7 %

Percentage distributions of establishments on raw material prices;

While answer of increasing was  74.3 % and decreasing was  4.1 % in the second  quarter  of 2000, in the same quarter of 2001, answer of increasing is  86.3 % and decreasing is 1.2 %

While answer of increasing expectation was  69.8 % and decreasing expectation was  2.2 % in the third quarter of  2000, in the same quarter of 2001, answer of increasing expectation is 61.8 % and decreasing expectation is   0.8  %
