THE RESULT OF THE QUARTERLY TENDENCY SURVEY WHICH REFLECT VIEW OF THE ESTABLISHMENTS IN MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY ON PRODUCTION, SALES, STOCKS AND PRICES FOR THE REALISATION IN  THE THIRD QUARTER  ( JULY - AUGUST - SEPTEMBER ) OF 1999 AND EXPECTATION FOR THE FOURTH QUARTER  ( OCTOBER - NOVEMBER - DECEMBER ) OF 1999

        ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY UTILIZATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, DECREASED FROM 77.3 % IN  THE THIRD QUARTER OF 1998 TO   71.6 % IN THIRD QUARTER OF 1999,  FROM THE  PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL RESULT  OF  2058 LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.

      Comparison of the reasons for not working in full capacity to the same quarter of the previous year is summarized below;


             A general evaluation has done in the written explanation on the view of establishments for the present situation in the third quarter 1999 and  expectation in the fourth quarter of 1999 about production, sales, prices and stocks.

At the evaluation;
Percentage distributions of establishments on production are;

While answer of increasing was  51.0 % and decreasing was 32.1 % in the third quarter  of 1998,
in the same quarter of 1999, answer of increasing is 45.2 % and decreasing is 40.8 %

While answer of increasing expectation was 52.8 % and decreasing expectation was 20.9 % in the fourth  quarter of 1998, in the same  quarter of 1999, answer of  increasing expectation is  57.2  % and decreasing expectation is  17.6  %

Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic sales;

While answer of  increasing was  44.4 % and decreasing was 38.6  % in the third quarter  of 998,
in the same quarter of 1999, answer of increasing is 43.4  % and decreasing is 40.9 %

While answer of increasing expectation was  46.0 % and decreasing expectation was  26.9 % in the fourth  quarter of 1998, in  the same  quarter of 1999, answer  of increasing  expectation  is 58.0  % and decreasing expectation is 17.5 %

Percentage distributions of establishments on sale prices;

While answer of increasing was  72.4 % and decreasing was 4.7 % in the third  quarter  of 1998,
in the same quarter of 1999, answer of increasing is 79.9 % and decreasing is 2.4 %

While answer of increasing expectation was   67.8  % and decreasing  expectation was  2.1 % in the fourth  quarter of 1998, in  the same quarter of 1999, answer of  increasing  expectation  is  74.3  % and decreasing expectation is 0.7 %

Percentage distributions of establishments on raw material prices;

While answer of increasing was  73.2 % and decreasing was 5.5 % in the third  quarter  of 1998,
in the same quarter of 1999, answer of increasing is  81.9 % and decreasing is 0.8 %

While answer of increasing expectation was   68.5 % and decreasing expectation was 2.2 % in the fourth  quarter of 1998, in the same quarter of 1999, answer of increasing  expectation is  69.8  % and decreasing expectation is  0.4 %
