ACCORDING TO THE PROVISIONAL RESULTS OF QUARTERLY MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY TENDENCY SURVEY COMPILED FROM 2018 ESTABLISHMENTS, THE PRODUCTION WEIGHTED CAPACITY UTILIZATION HAS INCREASED TO 78.3 % IN THE THIRD QUARTER OF 1996. THE FIGURE WAS 79.8 % IN THE SAME QUARTER OF PREVIOUS YEAR.
The reasons for inability to full capacity utilization are:

48.8 % of the establishments stated an increased while the 32.5 % stated a decrease of production in the third quarter of 1996. The figures in the same quarter of the previous year were 63.0 %, and 22.3 %, respectively.
59.2 % of the establishments expect an increase, while 16.3 % expect a decrease in production in the fourth quarter of 1996. In the same quarter of 1995, the expectations were 46.9 %, and 27.3 %, respectively.
As for domestic sales,
63.9 % of the establishments stated an increased while the 18.7 % stated a decrease of production in the third quarter of 1996. The figures in the same quarter of the previous year were 68.2 %, and 19.0 %, respectively.
49.0 % of the establishments expect an increase, while 24.7 % expect a decrease in production in the fourth quarter of 1996. The expectations in previous year were 46.7 %, and 27.6 %, respectively.
