(OCTOBER-NOVEMBER-DECEMBER ) OF 2000 AND EXPECTATION FOR THE FIRST QUARTER ( JANUARY - FEBRUARY - MARCH ) OF 2001
ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY
UTILIZATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, INCREASED
FROM 72.0 % IN THE FOURTH QUARTER OF 1999 TO 78.2
% IN THE FOURTH QUARTER OF 2000, FROM THE PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL RESULT
OF 1954 LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.
Comparison of the reasons for not working in full capacity to the same quarter of the previous year is summarized below;
A general evaluation has done in the written explanation
on the view of establishments for the present situation in the fourth
quarter 2000 and expectation in the first quarter of
2001 about production, domestic sales, sales prices and raw material
prices.
At the evaluation;

production are;
While answer of increasing was 55.5 % and decreasing was 30.5 % in the fourth quarter of 1999, in the same quarter of 2000, answer of increasing is 44.0 % and decreasing is 41.1 %
While answer of increasing expectation was 40.5 % and decreasing expectation was 32.3 % in the first quarter of 2000, in the same quarter of 2001, answer of increasing expectation is 35.0 % and decreasing expectation is 36.7 %
Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic sales;
While answer of increasing was 53.0 % and decreasing was 33.0 % in the fourth quarter of 1999, in the same quarter of 2000, answer of increasing is 31.3 % and decreasing is 53.4 %
While answer of increasing expectation was 37.9 % and decreasing expectation was 28.5 % in the first quarter of 2000, in the same quarter of 2001, answer of increasing expectation is 30.3 % and decreasing expectation is 37.4 %
Percentage distributions of establishments on sale prices;
While answer of increasing was 79.3 % and decreasing was 1.3 % in the fourth quarter of 1999, in the same quarter of 2000, answer of increasing is 61.0 % and decreasing is 7.5 %
While answer of increasing expectation was 61.6 % and decreasing expectation was 1.3 % in the first quarter of 2000, in the same quarter of 2001, answer of increasing expectation is 64.5 % and decreasing expectation is 1.9 %
Percentage distributions of establishments on raw material prices;
While answer of increasing was 82.9 % and decreasing was 1.4 % in the fourth quarter of 1999, in the same quarter of 2000, answer of increasing is 65.4 % and decreasing is 5.3 %
While answer of increasing expectation was
69.5 % and decreasing expectation was 1.9 % in the first quarter of 2000,
in the same quarter of 2001, answer of increasing expectation is 59.3 %
and decreasing expectation is 6.3 %
