PRESIDENT OF THE STATE INSTITUTE OF STATISTICS EXPLAINED
THE RESULT OF THE QUARTERLY TENDENCY SURVEY WHICH REFLECT VIEW OF THE ESTABLISHMENTS IN THE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY ON PRODUCTION, SALES, STOCKS AND PRICES FOR THE REALISATION IN  THE SECOND QUARTER
( APRIL - MAY - JUNE)  OF  2002  AND  EXPECTATION   FOR   THE   THIRD  QUARTER
( JULY - AUGUST - SEPTEMBER )  OF  2002

ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY UTILIZATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, INCREASED FROM 69.9 % IN  THE SECOND  QUARTER OF 2001 TO  75.9 %  IN THE SECOND QUARTER OF 2002, FROM THE PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL RESULT OF 2526 LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.
 

Comparison of the reasons for not working in full capacity to the same quarter of the previous year is summarized below;






      A general evaluation has done in the written explanation on the view of establishments for the present situation in the  second  quarter of  2002 and expectation  in  the third quarter of 2002 about production, domestic sales, sales prices and raw material prices.

  At the evaluation;
 Percentage distrubitions of establishments on production are;

 While answer of increasing was 45.2 % and decreasing was 41.0 % in the second quarter of 2001, in the same quarter
  of 2002, answer of increasing is 61.6 % and decreasing is 23.4 %

 While answer of increasing expectation was 54.7 % and decreasing expectation was 15.6 %  in the third  quarter of
 2001, in the same quarter of  2002, answer of increasing expectation is 54.3 % and decreasing expectation is 17.2 %

  Percentage distrubitions of establishments on domestic sales;

  While answer of increasing was 47.4 % and decreasing was 37.6 % in the second quarter of 2001, in the same quarter
  of  2002, answer of increasing is 58.6 % and decreasing is 23.5 %

  While answer of increasing expectation was 55.3 % and decreasing expectation was 11.9 %  in the third  quarter of
  2001, in the same quarter of 2002, answer of increasing expectation is 55.4 % and decreasing expectation is  13.4 %

  Percentage distrubitions of establishments on sale prices;

  While answer of increasing was 79.4 % and decreasing was 5.7 % in the second quarter of 2001, in the same quarter
   of  2002, answer of increasing is 71.9 % and decreasing is 3.5 %

   While answer of increasing expectation was 66.8 % and decreasing expectation was 1.7 %  in the third  quarter of
   2001, in the same quarter of 2002, answer of increasing expectation is 59.4 % and decreasing expectation is 1.5 %

   Percentage distrubitions of establishments on raw material prices;

   While answer of increasing was 85.9 % and decreasing was 1.2 % in the second quarter of 2001, in the same quarter
   of  2002, answer of increasing is 73.7 % and decreasing is 3.5 %

   While answer of increasing expectation was 62.6 % and decreasing expectation was 0.8 %  in the third  quarter of
   2001, in the same quarter of 2002, answer of increasing expectation is 62.5 % and decreasing expectation is 4.6 %
