PRESIDENT OF THE STATE INSTITUTE OF STATISTICS EXPLAINED
 THE RESULT OF THE QUARTERLY TENDENCY SURVEY WHICH REFLECT VIEW OF THE ESTABLISHMENTS IN THE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY ON PRODUCTION, SALES, STOCKS AND PRICES FOR THE REALISATION IN  THE FIRST QUARTER
( JANUARY - FEBRUARY - MARCH ) OF 2000 AND EXPECTATION FOR THE SECOND QUARTER  ( APRIL - MAY - JUNE ) OF 2000

ACCORDING TO THE STATEMENT OF THE PRESIDENT OF SIS, RATE OF CAPACITY UTILIZATION THAT IS WEIGHTED BY PRODUCTION VALUE, INCREASED FROM 70.3 % IN  THE FIRST QUARTER OF 1999 TO 72.8 % IN THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2000, FROM THE PRIMARILY PROVISIONAL RESULT OF 2260 LARGE SCALE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS.
Comparison of the reasons for not working in full capacity to the same quarter of the previous year is summarized below;

A general evaluation has done in the written explanation on the view of establishments for the present situation in the first quarter 2000 and  expectation in the second quarter of 2000 about production, domestic sales, sales prices and raw material prices.

At the evaluation;
Percentage distributions of establishments on production are;

While answer of  increasing was  30.8 % and decreasing was 55.9 % in the first quarter  of 1999, in the same quarter of 2000, answer of increasing is 35.3 % and decreasing is 50.1 %

While answer of increasing expectation was 66.8 % and decreasing expectation was 8.8 % in the second  quarter of 1999, in the same  quarter of 2000, answer of increasing expectation is 68.0 % and decreasing expectation is  8.3  %

Percentage distributions of establishments on domestic sales;

While answer of  increasing was  27.7 % and decreasing was 58.7  % in the first quarter  of 1999, in the same quarter of 2000, answer of increasing is 34.8  % and decreasing is 51.8 %

While answer of increasing expectation was  69.9 % and decreasing expectation was  6.5 % in the second  quarter of 1999, in the same quarter of 2000, answer of increasing expectation is 66.1 % and decreasing expectation is 7.5 %

Percentage distributions of establishments on sale prices;

While answer of increasing was  73.5 % and decreasing was 3.7 % in the first quarter  of 1999, in the same quarter of 2000, answer of increasing is 73.0 % and decreasing is 3.2 %

While answer of increasing expectation was   68.9  % and decreasing  expectation was  1.2 % in the second  quarter of 1999, in the same quarter of 2000, answer of increasing expectation is 63.6 % and decreasing expectation is 0.3 %

Percentage distributions of establishments on raw material prices;

While answer of increasing was  79.5 % and decreasing was 4.6 % in the first  quarter  of 1999, in the same quarter of 2000, answer of increasing is  80.5 % and decreasing is 1.4 %

While answer of increasing expectation was  73.9 % and decreasing expectation was 0.4 % in the second  quarter of 1999, in the same quarter of 2000, answer of increasing expectation is 71.4 % and decreasing expectation is 0.2 %
