1996 THIRD QUARTER (JULY-AUGUST-SEPTEMBER) RESULTS


According to data compiled from large scale enterprises with 10 + employees, which produce 89 % of the value added in the manufacturing industry, and based on the data compiled from all public sector enterprises, in the third quarter of 1996 workers in production and working hours in production have increased 2.3 % , and 2.9 % , respectively, as compared to the same quarter of previous year.

In the third quarter of 1996, the changes in workers in production (as compared to the same quarter of last year) are:

7.1 % decrease in public sector
5.1 % increase in private sector

When the working hours in production have compared to the same quarter of previous year,

3.5 % decrease in public sector, and
4.8 % increase in private sector have been observed.
