LABOUR FORCE PARTICIPATION RATE
| The labour force participation rate (LFPR) which is an important indicator of | ||||
| labour force, increased for Turkey as a whole when compared to the results of | ||||
| the first quarter of 2002. LFPR increased from 45.9% to 47.5% for total, | ||||
| increased from 42.8% to 43.8% for urban areas, and increased from 50.8% to | ||||
| 53.3% for rural areas. In the same period when the LFPR was examined by sex, | ||||
| it increased from 68% to 68.7% for male, and from 24.2% to 26.6% | ||||
| for female. | ||||
