LABOUR FORCE PARTICIPATION RATE

The labour force participation rate (LFPR) which is an important indicator of

labour force, increased for Turkey as a whole when compared to the results of The labour force

the first quarter of 2002. LFPR increased from 45.9% to 47.5% for total, participation

increased from 42.8% to 43.8% for urban areas, and increased from 50.8% to rate was 47.5%.
